What even happened gen 3, that's the one I played the least on (less than 1, which was up for only a week). I remember it was a glitchy mess that got delayed due to people wanting to do everything in creative before it opened up, and the biomes o plenty were laggy as all fuck and wouldn't spawn pokes, so I just sorta quit 2 days in without even building my poison gym I had planned.

1.) The server tells you when and where legendary spawn regardless if you have GameShark or not. GameShark is also just a mapless rader and as far as I know, doesn't cover the entire map under its detection range.
2.)It only spawns when a player is near/in the biome it resides in. So the range to search for the legendary is already limited to your current location.
3.) Most of the time it is in full view of the player when it does spawn if not slightly out eye's reach. This definitely apply to small ranged biomes.
