Not really. If anything, it's a detriment.
You're likely never going to use any physical attacks since it has 65 base attack compared to 125 base special attack. With a lower attack, you'll take less damage from things like Foul Play (even though it's still super effective) and self damage from confusion.

Cleaned out from my original breeds cost me 40+ even using the Soothe Bell. It went:

You could in theory have a legit shiny Groudon, but the odds are infinitesimally slim, unless you soft reset for one, which would take a very long time, so the odds of someone having one legitimately are extremely small.

As for a good spread, going Primal with Precipice Blades and Eruption would be your core, then you could add moves depending on your needs. Thunder Wave would be a good idea, as well as something akin to Flamethrower or Fire Blast for when Eruption is no longer useful.
