Man am I hoping for more soaring in the sky (on more Pokemon than Lati@s. I'd also like to see the starter mid and maybe final evolutions. I've never gone into a Pokemon game blind, and might want to this time. IDK. I'd also like to see some completely new Pokemon, the other islands or the full map, and the villain team. Of course I'm not expecting all of this, they're just my ideal reveals. I am so excited for this game.

I quite like all 3 starters this game, and that has me very happy because the last time I actually liked all the starters was in gen 4. I'm not going to pick one until we see the final evos, as I don't want Litten to be a repeat of Fenniken. Another thing I quite like is no more chibi and trainers behind Pokemon in battle. I'm super excited for the possibility of travelling to multiple islands. Also new fossilmons are always exciting to me.
I'm going to choose Litten. It reminds me so much of my new kitty, Jane (named after Jane Goodall - I name all my animals after science/literature figures). I'll probably soft reset until I get a female. It was actually really hard for me to choose. I usually go with the grass starters, but I'm not a big fan of birds.

The starter line-up is one of the best we have ever had, alongside Gen4and5.
The character designs are all awful, and I am absolutely not feeling the Region so far at all.
I feel like hype is blinding a lot of people, because I don't see how ANY of the human characters or locations shown so far, look fun or interesting in the slightest, and it gives me worry for the games.
However, the Pokémon shown are great, the visuals are great, the tease of customization makes me smile.
But the biggest and most underrated new feature, is that it seems like the environmental discs below your Pokémon are FINALLY gone! If this is true, then they have finally hit the perfect amount of immersion I have always dreamed of as a kid, where the battles look pretty much exactly like they do in the anime.

Kalos has a lot of great locations, the problem is that the second half of the region is stitched together so awkwardly that you never really feel like you're able to take it all in.
The first half of the region was so fluid though, I think it might be the best looking games we ever have.

I've never found a shiny through Dex Naving. Usually random or horde battles. (or random hordes)
Went out of my way to hatch a shiny Furfrou and chain fish a shiny Feebas. I hatched and accidental shiny Pansage. I had to double check to make sure it was actually shiny.
