I got a shiny Azelf form WT, which solves my issue of having already caught him before thinking of hunting for that trio's shinies.
Still going for shiny Kyurem. I've already faile twice. First was after 221 SR. I False Swiped and had a brain fart when I sent in Tyranitar. Sandstorm kills. Next was after another 804 SR. That one went down to Struggle. Now 1728 SR in, so 2753 total. I've been aiming to get 400 to 500 done a day. I have 2 Spore users now. I've had no problems shiny hunting up until now.

No not me, a friend. I assure you the only cheat here is to connect the 3DS to the PC and that one to increase the 3DS's clock speed. I saw this in person and he has no cheat devices whatsoever or other things active, as it worked on my 3DS too(which is a normal n3DSXL) when he passed me the cartridge. I traded him a Tropius egg and it was normal because it was generated on my game but everything else, wild, fished, surf, etc was shiny. Even hordes. We don't know about legendaries yet.

Meanwhile, I set a second cart to Japanese just to see if mons from a NA cart set to use the Japanese language would still work for Masuda's Wild ride. I have a shiny Golbat/Crobat, that's it. I can't get more in Emerald, not now. The plan was to get any shiny, and use that to find the secret ID to RNG Abuse. The program i needed not being available wasn't part of the plan.
Soft resetting for starters is something I'd never do. Legendaries are different, i've gotten Latios/Zekrom/Regirock on AS, all of my other shinies are in gen 6, got over 40-45

I'm no hacker so, I can't exactly say for 100 percent certain. I imagine you could check it easily enough by comparing the pkm files of a mon generated on a Japanese cart set to Japanese and a NA set to Japanese and seeing what their info looks like. But I've "concluded" it works, purely on a small sample size of shinies I've bred. Of the eight shinies I've bred using those NA cart set to Japanese, it's taken an average of 307 or eggs each to hatch them. I don't recall exactly what the shiny chances are in Gen VI with the charm and Masuda, but I know that's well within it.
Of course, my current hunt is at a significant dry spell of 965 eggs and counting. Still, my other attempts took 125, 504, 5, 492, 637, 61, 23, and 610 eggs each, which I feel would be very unlikely if Masuda is not working only on Language tags, not cart origin. 5 especially is on the opposite of the bellcurve from where I am now, so it's probably just an outlier. So any egg now.

You have to defeat or catch the pokemon then search again. Running away will not change odds, but defeating them makes it easier to immediately find another one afterward. If you cant find one, run around (or acro bike hop) until another dexnav pokemon shows up. Even if its not the pokemon youre looking for defeat it and search for the one youre looking for. Bad explination but hope it helps!

I had a living dex but fuck the battle resort. As petty as the reasons are, I hate the constant pokemon cries every few seconds and holding left on the controller means i don't have to move my thumb a minuscule amount to upvery minor but it's more comfortable to holdand i don't have to reposition after each hatch.That's how it works on the resort, right?
