Other anon here. I don't have official source, but it's true that everything depends on the generation of the egg and not the hatching. In the game data, whether a pokemon is an egg or not is a flag which can be turned off and on. The pokemon's data is otherwise the same before and after hatching. (You can actually view an egg's stats and moves before hatching it with a specialized program. I actually found an egg I didn't think was anything special had 6IV using this method)

I want to MM a shiny onix with the OT of Brock. I have an ORAS i've been using to farm legends so I can just start a new save file for it there.
