I love Grass Pokemon but it's plain as day that GF doesn't. I shouldn't have to have Return on near all my ingame grass starter movesets because they don't learn anything that isn't some form of Absorb until the late 30's.

My very first shiny was an oddish. I was playing Gold version and the screen did a weird thing and there were some sparkles on the oddish. I had already beaten all 8 gyms and was wandering around looking for the Waterfall HM because I was a dumb kid and didn't find it when I was supposed to. I caught that oddish and evolved it into a Bellossom because I had a sunstone but not a leafstone. I didn't know until years later that I had something really special, it was just a big mystery to me until late 2004.
