WELCOME TO THE /vp/ GYM CHALLENGE!
Here, in seasons of 3 months each, we hold a mono-type tournament to select 8 Gym Leaders, whom anyone can then challenge to become Champ of /vp/!
With the Tournament just finished, the Gym Leader Challenge will now kick off!

Or just don't use it if it seems like a problem. You can play well enough without leaning on it, just as Ryan can decimate my team without relying on Spore Breloom. I'm not a gym leader, and certainly not a parent or boss, but I think you fight well enough without relying on it to make your wins. Just my personal opinion, take it as you like.

Sir Steel slowly climbed his way up the stairs towards the Fairy Gym, looking sadly upon the once beautiful arrangements of colors and statues of fairy type pokemon. Getting closer to the doors, he found himself staring at disturbing images posted upon the walls and architecture; the gym, like its leader, was now completely overrun with memes.
Sir Steel sighed a bit, reflecting on his quest to claim the Champion's throne and dissolve the memes that destroyed the league and its gym leaders. His former master's words echoed in his head: "Do not take lightly those that stand against you. Though your steel is powerful, even those weakest to it can still dull the blades you intend to strike with." Sir Steel nodded his head, as if he had heard it directly from his master, and pushed open the heavy doors of the gym.
Inside, he found the walls and floors coated in pictures of Pikas, each captioned with memes whose vile dankness left an oozing residue with a nauseating smell. He looked in further to see his long-time friend and current gym leader, Daniel, facing away from the gym's large doors.
He was squatted in front of the gym's ceremonial leader chair as his hands moved wildly as pen scratching filled the air. Sir Steel shuddered a bit as he thought of what sinister dank creation his old friend mindlessly crafted, but finally spoke up.
"The time of the memes is coming to and end, Daniel...Though most of the RP fags died out in the scourge, I come as their sole survivor to reclaim our rightful place as champions...I do not wish to harm you, old friend; but these memes threaten the good people of our land, and I must put a stop to it..."
Daniel stopped scribbling, at first not moving or turning, but rather filling the silent air with a sickening chuckle. As he slowly lifted to a stand, he eerily turned facing Sir Steel; a sadistic grin on his face as their eyes met, both trainers with pokeballs in hand.

And after an intense battle, Sarge acquired the 8th badge. His team completely exhausted, having overcome monumental obsticals to make it thus far. Some may believe these victories may come from the storming voltage of his manectric, the headstrong brute force of his dragonite, the wall shattering potential of his absol (hold the response), the clever mind and power of his metagross or even the ferocity of his flygon, but the real star is his milotic. The backbone of his team, none of these victories would of been without him, milotics offence and defence in the face of overwelming forces shock and awe everyone but Sarge knows exactly how important Milotic is. He took solarbeams, high jump kicks, burns, poisons, dark pulses, shadow balls, some rough play by some fairies, and more than its fair share of dragon claws, but Milotic showed that its determination was great enough to turn the tides.

Remember, you get 3 tries vs the champ too, so you have a little more room to strategize against them. They can also plan ahead though, and since they cant change teams just like you, its pretty tense.
