I haven't updated my 3DS's firmware since yearly last year, maybe even 2014. I noticed /ekx/ threads were popular here then, but I haven't really played since then. My DS is on Ver 9.4.0-21E. This should still work using the method described in the link below, right? Though last I remember it just involved scanning a QR code rather than having to put stuff on the SD card.

-BrowserHax/MenuHax only work up to 10.5
-The only homebrew entrypoints for 10.6+ are OoTHax, NinjaHax and PSMD.
-Browserhax will be useless from 9.9 to 10.5 if you A) never opened the browser or B) open it now without the Tubehax DNS.
-If you're between 9.9-10.5 and your browser gets blocked, you can still use it by changing your date and time to be 1/1/2000 00:00 and using the "Initialize savedata" option in the browser settings. Don't press the Home button.

-BrowserHax is much more unstable on an O3DS after 10.4, it is very common for it to crash at the orange screen. If it does fail then 'initialise savedata' (delete cookies and history) then try again.

So, you have a <10.5 3DS? Then follow the fucking Plailect guide. Also, yes, that implies installing a CFW, but it also installs a9lh, a exploit that runs the CFW natively, so you don't have to wait 30 seconds to boot, and it can't be spotted, and once you have completed the guide you will end with a 3DS that will be always up to date's firmware. So don't worry and install a9lh.
Also, that goes to all of you cucks. Fucking install it, if not for free games then just to be able always to use PkHeX regardless if there is a new exploit or not.
