Yeah, making a tipped-over pine tree without shaking off some of the snow was definitely a missed opportunity. The stump arms are just something I always thought regular Abomasnow should have.

When someone does this, add more reflection in the eyes, shrink the head SLIGHTLY, and make the tuffs of fur on the head and stomach more realistic (look at some Gen 1 Pokemon as examples -- or the simplified Umbreon's in this thread).

Not the guy but I disagree. Gen 1 had many different eyes. You shouldn't automatically make all your regens have triangle eyes if it's Gen 1. Ignoring the various eye types, like you want to do, is just diluting the possibility of looking good and unique. Think Charmander, think Bulbasaur, thinnk Squirtle. Mascots of the generation with similar eyes to Machop

By no mean did I mean that everything should have the angular eyes. The eyes of the starters are fine as well, but Machop's eyes being vertically stretched along with a pupil mainly used for horizontal/average eyes make it very uncharacteristic of gen I.
Be my guest by all means, but the arwork looked more like it tried to mimic Machop specifically than gen I in general.

I can see your point there but I feel like if you consider Timburr's eyes and then consider the change made to Machop's they are probably the most similar style Gen 1 eyes that could have been picked for Timburr. At least when comparing the two Timburrs. I guess you can always create your own eyes and hope they seem Gen1-ish. What would you have used instead? (not a challenge, genuine curiosity)
