Well, here's something the manga missed incorporating.

I knew that for quite a while. Clive Cussler wrote a fictional novel called "Raise the Titanic!" which was later adapted into a movie that has a singular kickass scene.

Granted, even the movie came out five years before the wreck of the ship was found, and the book came out before that, so both were written under the assumption that the Titanic sank in one piece. Still, kickass raising sequence in the movie, and I hear a ton of really good things about the book.

I love how they chose such a rather obscure reference for a name.

How close will Serena get to Elle points wise? Will it be like a landslide victory in terms of votes, or will it be similar to Dawn's final battle were she was really close?

Addendum: the interesting thing to me is that Team Rocket's plot during that episode might actually borrow some from the book/movie.

In the book/movie, a US government agency finds that they want a really rare material that seems to have gone down with the Titanic, inside a giant vault in one of one of her cargo holds. They decide that it wouldn't be viable to retrieve it from the bottom of the sea, so they bring the ship to them to get it out.

In the episode, Team Rocket decides that the Cussler must have some form of treasure aboard, so they dive down to it. If I remember the episode correctly, they blast open a large vault inside of one of the cargo holds.

Not a particularly deep connection in those terms, but that just makes the name stick out more to me.
