You're right in some sense. I guess I just feel like mega would be quite lacking in most scenarios. As, most defensive walls, like hippowdon, or skarmory can shrug off a drain punch, and whirl you away if you try to pass cosmic power.
That said, it's nice to be able to outspeed everything without investment in speed, but regular loppuny with investment can outspeed anyways, and get free cosmic setups on certain situations. I feel like it's riskier without much more reward with the other set.

Yeah, you can't do anything to Hippowdon, that's true. But Sub wouldn't help with that, and Encore only in certain situations. Just use a different mon in that case, or Healing Wish in late game.
