Having Manon become a slave to Team Flare is practically a typical anime trope in order to get Alain into fighting what he wanted to protect in the first place, and all that MUH STRENGTH dialogue goes to bite him in the ass. You guys clearly don't get it. Ash has treated Froakie/Frogadier/Greninja just like how he has to all of his starters. Ash gives a specific amount of support and care to his Pokemon unlike other trainers which is why his Pokemon, even the unevolved ones, are so powerful. The bond between a trainer and Pokemon is what makes Pokemon stronger. This type of bond is something Froakie has never had before and he hasn't taken it for granted. Both him and Ash have mutual respect for each other and because of Ash Froakie has become a stronger Pokemon which is what his goal was in the first place. Ash has opened up numerous possibilities for Greninja throughout their journey and in return Greninja has been able to help Ash continue on the path to reaching his dream. This is where this "legendary bond" thing comes from.

We've already been shown more than enough lore/foreshadowing/flashbacks that shows Ash-Greninja isn't an asspull. The fact that it's happened before in history means that it's something to do with the Froakie line itself. Maybe it only occurs in a Froakie once every 100 years, who knows? It's funny how legendary Pokemon that get new forms retconned into existence once the third game of a Gen comes out and everyone is fine with that. How is this any different?

Infernape doesn't have the ability to transform. Instead it has an asspull super saiyan Blaze that powers up all its moves. If all of Ash's pokemon could transform, they would all have a a bond strong enough to do so.
Froakie has the hero gene that lets it transform, but also made it unwilling to accept trainers it deemed unworthy. The fact that it bonded with Ash demonstrates Ash's power level.

He suffered so much abuse, both mental and physical because of Paul's as you say retarded training regime where he had his other Pokemon attack Chimchar and it was only with Ash's help he got over it and became as good as you did. Ash vs Paul/Infernape vs Electivire was the most hype battle in the anime's history because of all this the drama that lead up towards the battle was something else. Easily the best writing ever.

Because it's not such a huge fucking coincidence or stretch. Froakie was logically hanging around Lumiose after abandoning its trainers. It's a self-styled hero so it naturally follows what's going on in the city, and it followed Ash. Then the Team Rocket thing happened and it deemed him worthy to follow.
The hero gene makes it help and rescue Pokemon, and allows it to power up from a strong bond, but in turn makes it very selective about who its bonds with. All of this fits together perfectly.

With all the love for Greninjash, we've barely seen Talonflame or Hawlucha in XY&Z too. My hope is that Noibat doesn't evolve in the Breloom episode but gets more development. I think it having mastered flying so quickly helped its development but it needs more practice and usage before it can evolve into the juggernaut that is Noivern.
Unless Based Director possibly has an arc for Noivern in the works? Imagine if Noivern cannot control the volume of its voice and it struggles between being too loud and too soft?

Ash didn't randomly acquire it. It's not like he picked a starter from Sycamore who happened to have super Protean.
Hero Froakie was born and went through several trainers, and abandoned all of them. In the meantime it hung around Lumiose helping random Pokemon. Then in its daily duties patrolling the city it came across Ash, who isn't unlikely to go through Lumiose as he's traveling through the regions. In Ash it found the trainer it was looking for.

This isn't the first time either. Ash doesn't just win the lottery getting super powerful Pokemon, it's the Pokemon rejecting other trainers who couldn't handle them, then deeming Ash worthy. Or, it's Ash chasing not just any Pokemon, but Pokemon whom he sees something special in. There's also Charizard who outleveled Ash for a while, but then Ash caught up to his level and earned his trust.
Froakie may not have been explicitly aware of his form, but he had heroism in his genes and intuitively picked a trainer who could handle his power.

What I'm worried about is Greninja being a permanent substitute for Ash having a mega capable Pokemon. That would be bullshit. I'd love to see Sceptile and Charizard go mega, and how overpowered they would be. Most importantly I'd love to see Infernape use activate Blaze before going mega in Gen VII, assuming Ash is still the protag and Sinnoh gets a remake. That being said, Ash is probably going to be on the receiving end of that Blast Burn/Thunder Punch combo without any physical training for himself. What ever he faces during the League would have to be stronger then Alans MegaZard for him to pass out. And Alans MegaZard is possibly Elite 4 tier strength wise.

At this point, I don't even think the Megazard battle will happen, which is kinda fucking stupid since that's what everyone was expecting from Ash vs Alan. At best, Alan and Shota would let Ash borrow their Mega Stones if the final league boss is some evil champion level trainer with six legendaries who has ended Alan's career and stomped Shota in the previous round. Tobias 2.0 basically, but the chances for that are slim.
If Ash gets key and mega stones, it'll probably be by the end of the series. He'd kinda slaughter Wulfric with a Mega Charizard Y/X/"hatever new shit Z-game brings to the table" for one. And they want to give Ash-Greninja as much spotlight before Gen VII is announced. Once Gen VII is announced by the end of XYZ, Ash is going to be using Megas because Greninja won't be marketed as much by then.

In comparison to normal Sceptile, Mega Sceptile is a lot more imposing. His tail becomes a tree missle! The sudden growth in stature makes sense since Sceptile is becoming a dragon. He actually gives off that end game feel.
Ash-Greninja is just a Greninja that looks like Ash. He's not exactly bigger or more threatening. He looks cool, but he doesn't make me think "Wow, so this is the peak of Ash's growth."
