I just want to run it in an emulator to beable to quickly search RAM and edit stuff and just mess with the came in general. I did some stuff with my CFW 3ds using NTR CFW debugger but its so slow to dump memory over wifi.

Once the PC version is more optimized in a year, a mobile port will start being developed for Android.

Why does everyone suddenly forget the main purpose of any emulator ever: to surpass the possibilities of a real console. This can include enhanced graphics (internal resolution, antialiasing, custom hi-res textures), superplay tools (movie recording, savestates, RAM search, visualized input), additional controls (commonly keyboard/mouse, but you can also use a gamepad that the console wasn't designed to work with), on some you can even play a local multiplayer game with all players being in different parts of the world, connected through netplay. This citra emulator doesn't have any of that I mentioned, but it can't even emulate the commercial games yet for those features to have any use right now. Though I won't deny, if you run emulators only to play the games - you're a poorfag

/vp/ is full of these "poorfags" because most of us don't care about anything Nintendo other than pokémon and if it wasn't for it we wouldn't have bought a 3DS in first place (and in fact some haven't indeed bought). Pokémon is full of people who have only played in emulators. Before X/Y I've only played in emulators and I only bought a 3DS because I couldn't emulate, and only later started playing other non-poké games because well, I already had the console.

There is some truth to this. I mean i like playing Mario, Fire Emblem etc. from time to time, but I don't think I would have ever bought a handheld/console just for those.

I've only ever really used emulators to try games I've never played, play old games I'd never be able to buy any more, have extra Pokemon save files, mods/hacks, etc. Generally I'll play on the real console if I can, especially for handhelds since the tiny native resolution is shit to play on a monitor unless you have fun squinting at the screen
