The term "evolution" is pretty loosely used in Pokémon. 80% of "evolutions" are pretty much just the aging of the Pokémon. There's only like 20% that actually are technically evolving, like Remoraid to Octillery and such. I was born in India to a lower-middle class family and moved to the US when I was a teen, my family was anti-racist and in my school I read all of those slave history books.
