Pretty close now at 778/779 mons, need to get Arceus last. It's proving to be a more challenging task than I thought, though. Tried to cheese my way through Destiny Tower with an unroided Unburden Hawlucha and friends, but escaped at Floor 16.

Once you have say, 9 Lost Loots, there's no need for more. It's far more profitable to sell in Star Cave and use a cheap Pure Seed to steal them back

1/1000 recruit rate in Red/Blue maximum. It's easier than Sky where it's 1/500 because all the Kecleon spawn with a set moveset of 4 moves picked randomly, meaning that you can get hoards with the same 4 moves, AND the fact you can grind to the point that you can 1shot them with a default attack. Kecs in R/B are far weaker than Sky's

6 rollable moves. Magma Storm, Heat Wave, Earth Power, Iron Head, Fire Spin, Ancient Power. I went in with a moveset of Magma Storm, Heat Wave, Earth Power and Ancient Power, and was doing pretty well until I started missing with Magma Storm. Might need to level up my moves a bit more.

The problem with that is you need to really grind moves to up accuracy. You're better off using emeras to up speed and accuracy.

... Welp died to a Smoochum with a Payback Emera on Floor 1. I might give it another try, but eh. It gets Psywave, Reflect, Rollout and Snatch, and Psywave doesn't really do shit. I guess Rollout shenanigans with some lucky RNG with Barrage could work. Not sure how effective it'd be though. It seems bulky at least.

Oh for fuck's sake. I die from freaking Kecleon. Braixen had to go use a fucking Stayaway Wand when I was shopping.
Another 6 move mon. Basically avoid Leer. It gets Extrasensory, Lava Plume, Sacred Fire, Bite, Leer and Eruption. Good moves. Unfortunately, this means Entei can't really counter Flash Fire mons like Houndour. (I think I've seen them around, correct me if I'm wrong)
Still made it to Floor 12 though, and this was without Sacred Fire. Would've gone even further if wand bullshit hadn't happened.

According to a online guide, Joy Seeds can be found in Rescue Team in two ways:
- Buried in the walls (not in all dungeons with buried items; eg. Darknight Relic doesn't have it)
- Spawns on the ground and in shop in Joyous Tower and Purity Forest

Most dungeons have a limit of 4. The only exception is size, where pokemon of bigger size take up more slots.
Your total team's star count must be equal or less than 4, with the exception of a partysize of 2 or less (You can have a 5star team if its 2 pokemon).
So the pokemon that appear in Super's Kang cafe and do talking missions, are they random?

Probably an adult, as you're already grounded (usually) of who you are and such, along with having various responsibilities to numerous things. An exception would be if the adult is a NEET.
Rotom is a fantastic partner in Super. The fact that he's so close to your level means he doesn't call out much, he can float through walls in hallways, and discharge is still as OP as ever.

You bet. Teleport in Rescue Team is a lifesaver in level 1 dungeons, and in Sky, Unburden Minimize can utterly carry you through the deeper floors.

Also non attacking moves have varying levels of significance. Speed boosters like Tailwind or agility for example, are fucking crazy to have. One reason why Axew was OP in GtI was because of Dragon Dance. Helping Hand is also a great move. Basically, non speed debuffs are worthless, self and team buffs are much more significant.

Another Froakie user here.
I trained water pulse to V and boosted the spec att as well. Teaching it Ice Beam gave it a second 4 tile range move. Plus ice beam has decent move att already.

I'd think it's randomly decided at the start of a new day, as certain NPCs in each town/cafe are always there whereas Shaymin for example is not as consistent, and prioritizes Pokemon you can accept missions from.

Is V the max level moves can go up to? I'm at IV Red with Bubble, and III Red with Water Pulse.
Blizzard's an entire room attack like Heat Wave, Earth Power, and Discharge, right?
I just want as many ranged moves as possible, because they'll take out any enemy Pokemon that can use ranged/entire room attacks. In contrast, trying to get close and getting hit in the process to reach them with a close range move is torture.
Like facing off against a Discharge user, or the Venasaur and Meganium combo in that one dungeon.
That doesn't leave me with a lot of options for Dark type moves, so I might just pass on Night Slash and Dark Pulse because of no range.
I'm going to evolve anyway, because Greninja looks cool. Can't you take advantage of Power Boosts to increase your damage?
I'm hoping roided Defense and Sp. Def and my Fennekin's Heat Wave will carry me through any encounters with Silver Wind.

Hey Dungeon crawlers, what's the best way for me to get into the Mystery Dungeon games? I started off with the original way back in the day but I could never really figure things out. I was probably under ten at the time and I couldn't fathom losing items even if I didn't use them and it wasn't at all what I expected from a game where I got to BE the Pokémon, so at some point I sold it without ever doing much. I always liked the art style of the over world though. Is it worth getting into? Should I pick up a copy of the newest one for my 3ds or start with something early again? And will my shitty computer have issues emulating the games? The only emulation experience I have is with GBA games and earlier on my phone.

GBA emulates fine, but you'll need to set the save type to 128kb for Red to save properly. You're better off just playing Blue where this isnt a problem.

Just finished Gate's main story to tide me over until Super comes out in Europa.I enjoyed it more than Explorers's main story. The gameplay felt less less monotonous and the story was a significant improvement thanks to the characters. Pleasantly surprised overall.

The move levelling system is from Gates, so I assume it is similar to that. The max level a move could be was either 9 or 10. The move gets a star when it is maxed out.
It seems like level 5 is max because it gets increasingly harder to level up moves. I would be surprised if anyone maxed out moves in this game since there doesn't seem to be as much help on doing that as in gates.

Magnitude, earth power, or earthquake doing you in? Distance Dodge works to negate/avoid it if you are more than 1 tile away from the user. Not a perfect solution, but it gives you a 50 50 chance to avoid it.

Yes. Slumber wands are your friend, sleep is the only status that lasts any amount of time on bosses. Truant wands are good for getting rid of pressure and saving pp, but the boss will ignore the truant status

almost all. wands that directly do stuff to HP won't work, such as HP-Swap Wand, Quarter Wand, etc.
really, Curse is the best thing honestly. just keep the Curse user alive and allow 4 turns of Curse damage for a win. you can also bring a Revive All Orb and let teammates die and not use a Reviver Seed, then sneak past other enemies until you get to the floor before the boss. use the orb there and get to the boss all fine. there's also the Memento Alliance trick to quickly whittle down bosses' stats to the point their attacks do jackshit.

it works. though you may wanna try keep them alive (to avoid burning through Reviver Seeds too much) since the curse status would probably last for only 1 or 2 turns because bosses cure statuses fast.
