Today at Walmart, all of the restroom toilets were clogged with TCG packaging. Are you people so fucking ashamed of our hobbies that you not only need to steal them, but you need to inconvenience others by filling toilets with your shame?
>>24821747
It's because we love them that we steal. I always want more cards.
>>24821747
>I want more cards.
>I also have much better things to spend/waste my money on.Rent and electricity aren't cheap
I'll admit that clogging toilets with packaging is a little fucked up, but what's a poor man's alternative to stealing?
It was probably a kid. Most adults who shoplift tend to understand that you're home free once you get it into your pockets/bag. There's no point in smuggling them into the bathroom.
>>24822329
there are no cameras in the bathroom and you have to take them out of the packaging or the barcodes will trigger the alarm at the door
>>24822427
...wut?
No...no you don't. Trust me...just no.
>>24822465
retail spider detected
>>24822427
Once again, this is why I assume it was a kid. It's pretty common for them to believe that every item in the store has a security tag that will set off the alarm.
>Go to self checkout when busy but not too busy
>person there is never really giving a shit about you, they dont get paid enough; they only exist to check for malfunctions or IDs for alcohol and certain OTCs
>take stack of about 10 blister packs
>scan them all at once.
>toss em in bag, too light to be weight checked properly
>walk out with cards at 90% discount
Alternatively
>stick in produce plastic bag
>click BANANAS
But you could do that with anything. I used to do it to buy make up for my girlfriend sometimes (10 bucks for tiny bottle of literally blue nail paint? fuck you)
>Walmart
>>24823201
I do the something at selfcheck out.
>new EX box is out
>Don't want to pay $50 buck for one
>Grab a single booster pack and put it behind the box
>Pay $4 bucks and leave
If I feel like it, I once left Walmart with 50 booster packs, and only paying $7 bucks
>>24823336
not sure if I want to do this as well or fear feeling morally wrongI also got arrested for shoplifting as a minor. I'm an adult now with it off my record so maybe it's best to not go back
>>24823347
What did you shoplift
some places dont give a shit under a certain price, and walmart unless it's expensive usually doesnt care. Their employees may not even be allowed to accuse you of it at all unless they are specifically designated loss specialists (who again, would only care about lots of clothes or electronics)
>>24823076
I've seen booster packs with security tags at Walmart, but that was well over a year ago.
But then again, Iscalemy booster packs...
>>24823347
Samething almost happen to me, I run out before the fat ass manger saw me.
Didn't go back to that Walmart for 3 weeks before I started doing it again.
I don't do this alone anymore, I go with my gf who looks tiny and friendly.
People never think she would do anything bad.
>>24823471
How do you scale booster packs at a place like walmart
>>24821747
I used to steal a lot when I was younger, even when there was no need to do it. It was fun. One day I stole 80€ in Yu-Gi-Oh cards. I don't feel ashamed. Trading card games are fucking expensive and only retards buy them.
>>24825137
>Take packs off of rack and put them into a shopping cart/basket.
>Go to empty aisle.
>Scale packs.
>Keep good packs and put duds back onto rack.
And there you go.
But then again, I only scale atTarget...
kek
When I was really young, I would just grab whatever booster pack I saw, walk to an empty aisle, take out the cards and throw the wrapper behind something
i tried it a few times a few years ago but they had the paper thing around the actual plastic, which surprisingly made things even easier.
>put in pocket
>lift up inner fold of paper packaging and take out pack. Can do this while its still in your pocket
>fold it back and throw away the paper, looks untouched to the average observer
>>24825665
love the new packaging for that same reason
>>24825665
why would you throw away the paper?
>>24822281
I think the point is that we should at least throw them in the trash in the restroom.

Every X package (the ones in the cardboard blister package) has an RFID tag, which of course isn't in the barcode. Most of you know it looks like pic related (just the white part). I don't know how to tell the pattern from a new box, and I'm sure they get jumbled up all the time. I also don't know if the foil packs sold without blister packages ever have a tag (it would be pretty obvious I think). This coming from someone who has stolen hundreds of dollars in MTG cards. This could also be different with Pokémon
>>24828531
how do rfid tags get untriggered?
>>24822427
>The Barcode will trigger the alarm
Holy shit, how old are you?
>all of these stories about how easy it is to steal
I'm tempted. Is it worth it?
my local supermakert has nintendo points cards just there. uncovered. I could just grab one, put it in my pocket and leave since it has nothing but a bar code, right?
>>24830142
those are inactive until scanned
>>24830160
ah, I see. Thanks mate.
>>24823336
If you did not scan and pay for the EX box, the alarm would have went off due to the bar code or RFID tag. Nice bait.
>>24830378
Bar codes themselves don't trigger alarms, only security tags which can typically be demagnetized by rubbing on a metal surface.

4chan is an 18+ board my young friend. Can't say I blame you. We've all hit the "I am 18" button when we were twelve. You get curious at that age.
