Ah, I remember the transfer from paper to digital. The wonderful feel of that electronic device opening a gateway of new art styles... It was fucking awful and I thought I wasted money on the tablet. :)
Anyway, just spend your first week getting used to how to handle it. Practice how your pressure settings work and getting used to the tactile side of it. It's VERY different from paper.
As far as programs go, I suggest Medibang Pro. It's free, has most of the good stuff, and allows you to create your own bushes very easily. It also has grid systems so you can draw circles, lines, and other geometic shapes if you need them.

Get outside your comfort zone and experiment a lot. Look into the fundamentals (anatomy, color theory, perspective) and understand the basics. Figure out what you like about other artist's stuff and incorporate those aspects into your stuff. Incorporate things you like into your study sessions (ie draw your favorite pokemon town if you're drawing to draw buildings or something.) Life drawing helps.
Really just draw a lot and focus on improving different aspects of your work and you'll get good.

I would like to say I am really impressed with the quality of this, Arceus looks really good with the pony tail thing down and you did a really nice job with what you had to work with. Really does look fabulous, and I like how it swirls as it goes down, too.
