How would you phix the phox, in terms of game mechanics only, without saying "remove it entirely" or "make it not phox"?
The first thing I would do is make Mystical Fire lower special defense instead of special attack. It doesn't do much damage so I don't think it would be broken.
And of course the phox needs a hidden ability that's not a hindrance.
