What does /vp/ think of this game and it's sequels? I never see anyone talking about them.
I only like the gamplay of the first game. And the female character
I liked them a lot. It was an interesting idea using the new implemented stylus (for that time) and exiting too, by trying to get your points as high as you could/without getting damaged. Only played the first one and Shadows of Almia, though.
Does anyone knows if its worth it playing Guardian Signs? I always tend to play it for 20 minutes before doing something else.
it was a good way to scratch my screen up
I wouldn't mind a Ranger 4, my mate and I were godly in the multiplayer.
This game sucks ass. Your middle school self only remembers it being good because it was the only thing there to make you happy at said age.

>projecting this much
Had a rough live, uh?; )
I still can't beat Salamence.
Granted, I am still rusty, but..
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST, TWENTY-ISH LOOPS.
WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?

>Does anyone knows if its worth it playing Guardian Signs?
As someone who played the game, it's very entertaining and It's a shame that you cant play online anymore, because the multiplayer was veryfun
>>24735609
You got to loop it a few times and then just hold the Styler down and hope it doesn't destroy it.
>>24735612
Isn't the multiplayer local only?
>>24735612
Thanks! I always get stuck because the initial part of the game made me easily bored, but I'll have to take it knowing it gets better.
Bought the first one just for Manaphy.
Didn't like the story too much. I muted it and zoned out while playing through it.
Was worth the Manaphy though.
>>24735625
I guess is mostly because Ranger feels even more kid friendly than the main games. At least story wise.
The dynamic itself depends of your liking into playstile. To me it was something new so I liked it. For other people maybe it was too big of a change or just wasn't appealing enough.
Funny thing is, I played and beat all 3, but hardly remember anything about them, I know I had fun though, and will probably play them all again someday.
>>24734989
It's shit. Superior game coming through.
>>24735667
Elaborate at least.
>>24735674
Play it and apologize for not knowing best pokemon game.
>>24735680
>ranger thread
>calls ranger shit and derails to PMDG
>asked to elaborate
>keeps talking about PMDG
Elaborate about ranger being shit, f.am, not MDG.
>>24735698
Told you all that can be said about ranger: it's shit. No need to tell more.
>>24735705
Why do you believe that though?
>>24735707
I don't have to believe. Belief is taking something without proof as a fact/truth. I played ranger. I know. It's shit.
>>24735707
Don't insist. It's clearly a shitposter.
Which of the three games did guys you like more?
>>24735061
GS is pretty good. But I doubt anything will top SoA, god that plot was so good.
>>24735711
Explorers of Sky was the best. Rescue Teams and the lastest one were orse.
>>24735711
Hard to say, I can't remember the first two that well and the multiplayer of Ranger 3 overshadows everything else. But I did get max capture rank on everything in all three games so I clearly did enjoy them all.
>>24735609
Loop it when its flying on screen. Charizard is worse, I got stuck on him. still cant beat him.
>>24735716
Yeah, SoA was pretty solid. I liked the Quest System, even if sometimes I didn't get how to get to some stuff.
>>24735721
I guess SoA gets more praise story-wise while GS main treat is multiplayer.
>>24735734
I should play SoA again some time. I remember you get to change your partners.
>>24735744
Yes you do. Fuck how I loved that. Being able to have a different partner and not having to stay with that they throw at you was great.
Small penis jerodine.
Tracking down the Regis after you beat the game was always fun.
I wish I had gotten Guardian Signs
>>24734989
Only played SoA.
I liked it. Interesting plot, characters and region. Also refreshing gameplay, although a bit easy.
Never felt like picking up GS, seemed too multiplayer focused for my tastes.
I've only played the original, which was fun (and I got a manaphy egg from it). I never played the sequels but it seems that they were culled as they weren't as popular as PMD (which seems to be the only spin off they have nowadays, besides F2P shit).
>>24735750
Snover best partner
>>24739699
The multiplayer was an optional sidestory that never changed the main game outside of a summonable partner Pokemon which almost never provided.
sad i can't keep any of them besides plusle/minun
haven't played the sequels
>>24735750
Yeah, my only gripe is that you couldn't do it on the fly, you had to switch all the way at the first town.
I loved the Ranger games, the exploration was so fun. I haven't played it since I was a kid so no comments on actual quality, but I had a great time with it and I suppose that's what matters most. My DS got pretty noticeable circular scratches though, and if I tried to play it now I'd probably hurt my wrist.
>>24735609
Ahaha, this is the exact point I'm stuck at. I've been using Drastic to play some DS games on my phones, and I thought Ranger's stylus based gameplay might work well. It's a bit tricky but still pretty fun.
That said, I moved.on to the second game.after getting stuck on Salamance, and having never played it before I'm liking it much better. The bar filling mechanic makes it way more forgiving, so you don't have to do the whole thing in one shot.
>>24734989
all 3 are god tier
past missions on guardian signs are hard as fuck, never could get that deoxys
>>24734989
I actually really enjoyed all of the Ranger games, and the first the most, but that may be nostalgia. Way underrated.
