I'd say to try a great ball if you get super catch rate or get over 70% with your great ball.
For expert stages you have to use strong SE mons and do the stage a few times till you are able to beat it itemless. You'll get a shitty catch rate but eventually you will catch it sooner or later.

You need any 150 S ranks for Mewtwo, come back to those later on. Zoroark will be a joke when you get M-Gardevoir, but that's a long way off, it's really difficult until then (it was the last of the first 150 I S ranked). Megas Mawile and Glalie are just DD, Gengar and Mewtwo are harder, the rest before Mewtwo are easy.
Optimize almost always, the only thing is if you get a base 60 to level 6 it will have 72 power and thus show up before a base 70 in optimize so you need to manually make the change to put EXP into the right mon. Also sometimes you need a specific ability or want to swap around for a mono-type team to take advantage of abilities like Pyre or Sinister Power.

Base 80s have only been the pseudos and strong legends. Metagross will be 80 for sure, just a question of type, but Alakazam will be our psychic 70. I feel they'll label it as normal form but not actually release the others, at least not for a long time like they're doing with Keldeo. There's also no data of Meloetta's Pirouette form even having an icon, so I feel like they won't since they're supposed to be changes of the same pokemon while the Meowstics are specifically different beings.
However if they did do it, it'd be cool and frustrating to have a stage kind of like a safari where Deoxys takes a different form every time you play. Or have a safari where each Deoxys form has a 1.25% chance to appear. They could have attack form have 80 power with hitting streak/damage streak/heavy hitter/brute force, defense form 60-70 power (or 40 if they really wanted to fit the theme) with disrupt buster, speed form 70 power with mind zap, and normal form 70 power with power of 4+.

Considering how luck based mobile coin grinding is I'd go for it. Assuming it comes to 3DS the same way it's only 24500 worth of items, even at 330 only each heart Meowth does better. However, if you're already at max there's no reason not to do it since it should be doable itemless, and even if it were to take some on high level play, you could think of it as converting liquid cash into an investment in items that you can hold on to, letting you bring your coins back up to max so your net worth is higher than 99999 coins. Basically unless you're strapped for coins and need it immediately, it's definitely worth playing.

havent tested it at all, but some elements have a weird sound effect, depending on their type of attack (Muk for example makes a dull splash noise since hes poison and a puddle, while Giratina slices the enemy with a dark cut thingy. It may be that Gardevoir has a unique effect by itself, not just its mega, or it could be a combination of mega sound effect + fairy sound effect.
