How to progress in PTCGO, tl;dr edition:

Your physical cards probably aren't worth shit, but check sites like Trollandtoad, eBay and TCGplayer for the shinier ones to see if you can make a decent 5-10 bucks off them before you ask in the thread. We don't have the prices memorized for every single card.
To see what your PTCGO stuff is worth, look on the PTCGO forums in the trading section. For example, Top Cut Trading inc

Pack codes are worth about 15-30 cents while other codes are worth around a dollar or two.
Remember that if you're doing a TCGO code dump, post them as images and block off the QR codes. This prevents scumbags from scooping up the entire lot with client's QR reader or, in the case of typed codes, copypasting all of them onto the redemption page for themselves. DO NOT put text codes in a pastebin and remove the last character from them just because it's easier for you if you're dumping codes, scumbags have access to scripts that can easily find the missing letter/number.

The biggest shame with this patch is that it had a lot of good additions, like skipping the "which Pokemon would you like to play?" prompt at the beginning if you only have one Pokemon in your hand and letting you select multiple prizes at once.
They just buried those good things under forced animations of cards flying around any time you want to do something. This whole shit was to encourage people to upload videos of the game to youtube by making it more visually interesting.

Not sure about tools, but I definitely find the little Energy icons easier to keep track of. The old system worked well only when there werent a lot of energy cards in play. But when you played against something like Yveltal-EX (which stacks energies like mad) the energies would eventually merge into an unreconisable yellow blob. It was a pain in the ass when you played for example a Crushing Hammer and wanted to discard a DCE. You were basically forced to right click zoom if you didn't want to accidently discard a Darkness Energy instead.

you have no draw cards and way too many extras of cards. throw in some draw cards like battle reporter, cheren, professor birch observations, professors letter, and cut down on the doubles of cards you have. also consider EX killers since you will have to fight them, even in standard. I personally love Regice
