Its possible tripokalon's are in other regions. When Hoenn was airing for the first time people assumed Contests were only in Hoenn, then they magically showed up in Kanto despite Ash not seeing any the first time they were there.
They call it Kalos queen here, but for all we know there could be a Sinnoh queen, Hoenn queen, etc. too.

Isn't Pokeshipping mostly because 4Kids added a bunch of hints that weren't even in the original? Granted it was still the strongest ship of its time but partly because of dub edits? I am not really much of a shipper since Ash having a notable relation with the female of that region is expected. Its just more visible now in XY since Serena has feelings for Ash, whereas Misty, May, Dawn and Iris didn't crush on Ash.
With Misty it was mostly dub edits to hint at their relationship more, with May she was more likely to have a crush on Drew than Ash, with Dawn I'd argue she same but with Zoey, and as for Iris, from what I remember she was more independent (not having a crush on anyone).
Are there Amour hints? Yes. Is it progressing each time? No. Odds are the Ash/Serena thing won't go anywhere just like past relations so I won't raise my expectations to an unrealistic level.

I like the name Cussler for a ship that is very clearly the Titanic with only minor modifications, because as far as I can think, the name appears to be a reference to "Raise the Titanic!", via the author's last name, which makes it by far the most obscure reference to that ship I have ever encountered.

I don't think that is a fair comparison.
Bismarck was the one who delievered doom to Hood. That's a great feat. It's impossible to emphasize how important it was for the allies to get revenge and their goal was to literally sink Bismarck regardless of the cost.
The Yamato-ships were more heavily armed, but they never achieved much and all sank before the war was over.
Bismarck loved and lost, while Yamat ships never loved at all.

The Yamato class had been the largest battleships ever made. Over 150 anti-aircraft guns, nine 18-inch guns (compared to the Iowa class's nine 16-inch guns), as much as over 2 feet of armor in some places, and some 70,000 tons in weight.
The ships had unfortunate ends in World War II (in the form of taking over a dozen torpedo hits and several bomb hits from turbospammed American planes when most ships would go down with a fourth or a fifth of what these ships took), but if anything that just makes the comparison stronger since the only thing that could bring Amour down at this point would be some incredibly major, powerful, or calamitous plot event. That is to say, they wouldn't be able to sink the ship subtly.
Similarly, when Yamato sank, all three of her ammunition stores detonated, which resulted in pic related. I imagine the fan reaction from amour being sunk would be quite similar.

There's very little beyond a generic sort of kid show caring.
Manon and Alan clearly care for each other more than one would an average person, and Alan is now trying to "return her smile" and Manon wants to be with Alan because she's stronger when she's with him and all that jazz. Worrying about each other, yadda yadda. But there's been nothing really specific that would make it romantic or anything like that. Not even blushing, the go to shipping nonsense indicator. They're just close.
A lot of it probably comes down to age, which you noted there. Manon looks like she's supposed to be generic Pokemon trainer 10 year old and Alan something older, more like the MCs of XY. If she's actually that young, not unlikely given her just having started out, and not just small or Alan is mid teens and not a freakishly tall 10 year old, it's unlikely the show is angling towards any romantic.

I would have preferred eight Mega Evolution special episodes. That way there would have been more time to give the characters more complicated and multifaceted personalities/stories. Alan just felt so one-dimensionally focused on becoming the strongest, just as Manon felt so one-dimensionally focused on following Alan and keeping him in check. It just felt like other aspects of those two's personalities were paid brief lip service and then left alone.
That being said, I loved the darker, more mature tone of the specials. I wish the Pokemon anime proper was more like them instead of continuing to be a relatively superficial, formulaic and sugar-coated most of the time. And I thought the last mega special was really fucking good.

Think of it this way. If it didn't mega evolve, its stats would be lower so it'll most likely get wrecked by dragon claw. Crunch was just enough to cancel out Dragon Claw when it was mega evolved. I don't think it has enough power to stop the claws if it didn't mega. Malva's mistake was ordering crunch when it didn't know Charizard had Blast Burn. That thing can't be dodged up close so you have to tank it like what Steven's Megagross did.
