Absol has Mind Zap, which is exceedingly valuable on certain stages. The Block Smash 60s can do a lot of good if you haven't got an equivalent Block Smash+ event Pokémon. Slowbro not only comes with freeze-removal, but is a powerful Mega in his own right. Damage (or Hitting) Streak Pokémon are now numerous enough that a mostly full team of them can continue their streak indefinitely, making all first matches double (again?) damage. Aerodactyl is a shit Mega - except that every time it's useful it's practically essential. And, like I'm sure you've guessed, every Pokémon with Crowd Control is better than it looks by far.

Having max coins on Monday is stupid. The only thing that requires a ton of coins is Escalation Battles and all of them give you a bunch first before bleeding you dry. Hell the recent ones even give you a net profit.
The best place to be is at 90k coins.

Continue grinding meowth. The daily coin spawners are also disruption spammers. You'll have a better time on Meowth if you need coins. The dailies are weak shit anyway, you should be able to beat all of them in 4 or 5 moves assuming you're caught up.

Looks like Qwilfish has two Dunsparce on its stage. Probably wouldn't bring Dunsparce with anyway. This seems to be true with all the dailies this week, the day before appears on the current day's stage. It'll only be really useful on Maractus though, because that stage has a dozen Heatmor on it, and it has the type advantage.

I have to admit I'm getting my ass handed to me by this fucking M Gardevoir competition, after 6 full item runs I'm still only around 34K, which certainly looks like won't be enough to get the speed up. I've tried mawile teams, Aero teams and Gengar teams, and my highest score so far has been with Gengar.
Any actual tips on how to git gud?
I haven't missed a timed comp mega speed up yet and I don't wanna start now
