This thread is for artists who want to improve and people who want to enjoy themselves. If you’re going to give critique, please do it constructively. Rude or blunt critiques won’t help anybody.
Requesters are free to request what they wish, but avoid bumping your request every half hour as it’s only going to put people off; try giving it an hour or more. Also, avoid asking for the same thing every thread. Have some patience and come back to it later. Please provide references in ONE image, especially when requesting something outside of the Pokémon universe. And if you request something from the old Drawthread or a separate thread, COPY & PASTE the actual request instead of posting a link.
New artists are welcome to join in the fun! If you need any help, some artists are very keen to help, so don’t be afraid to ask.
Any NSFW/suggestive requests in this thread will likely be purged, so please keep it on the other board.

Anyway requesting a shiny (or not) Volcanion as an Egyptian sphinx statue (actual Pokemon with the right scale or a bigger statue) with the pyramid(s) on the background.
Specifically Egyptian sphinx is one of the main design origins in Volcanion's look, has even a pyramid on it, Absol and its mega are partially based on the Greek sphinx.

Use the resources in OP, don't be afraid to not finish a request, you don't have to say you're taking a request nor do you have to always post something. Enjoy yourself, you owe people nothing in here.
Like you just seen, lots of people use SAI here. Fiddle around with all the settings, find out what you like and what you don't like. Try out other people's brush settings. Look on DA and tumblr and see how people make stuff in SAI. Ask in here if people will share their settings or process, ask how they did a specific thing or what sort of brush they prefer.
Use other programs. Use pencil and paper. Doodle on the Miiverse. Start a Nuzlocke, draw your pokemon. Go the the MSPaint threads or Nuzlocke ones on vp. You don't have to post everything you draw.

Remember that it's ok to not see massive changes between days or even weeks. Getting into the habit of constantly drawing and building on the last day is the aim. You'll see improvement between months and years, do not be discouraged by not seeing a change overnight.
And again! You do not have to post everything you do. Build up a stash of stuff only you will ever see, enjoy having it, maybe take out an unfinished piece or two later on to polish and post.I never draw outside of these threads and that's why I'm forever shit and I recognise that. Doesn't stop me from having fun in here, though I'd enjoy it more if I actually practiced and drew every day since I'd be able to do more.
