I've been at a friend's house for the past few days, playing GO when the servers haven't been shit. They happen to live near a cemetery. I'm more than willing to hold down those gyms and what not all night long, but they think that it's weird to just go in a cemetery and do that. So, long story short is, we don't go in there. However, skip to now and its 4 in the morning. I saw my red gyms slowly get wittled down and turned into blue gyms, so I said fuck it and hopped the fence.
The car with the blue team members in it went home as I hopped the fence, so I made the gyms all red again. v nice to feel like I helped.

CP is based off pokemon stats in the actual games, but it values certain stats more than others.
HP > (special) Attack > (special) Defense > Speed
Basically if you want high CP pokemon, you should focus on catching/training Pokemon that have high stats that Pokemon Go deems important. Top tier examples would be Snorlax, Dragonite and Vaporeon.

I don't think it means anything other than if you wait at that grass long enough, a Pokemon might come to you (probably a common one though) or walking around that grass will yield a Pokemon nearby. But that's just a guess. The occasional grass popping up at my house has only given me Zubats, Spearows and Poliwags and one Clefairy somehow.
Pokemon spawns are fixed. There's a pokemon spawn right outside my house, and it spawns a pokemon once an hour at the exact same spot, always at 32 minutes past the hour.
Basically make a mental note of the spawns you find when you go for a walk. Make the same walk an hour later, and you will find pokemon at the exact same spots.

For what reason though? Power ups cost the exact same before and after evolving. A Pidgeot will always have the same CP cap, it doesn't matter if the Pidgeotto had 200CP or 400CP, the limit is determined by your trainer level.
Evolve a fairly close to max CP Pokemon, see if it has a good moveset, then feed it power ups.

The moveset gets randomized upon evolving. But yeah, evolve the one with the highest CP, then power it up if you like the moveset. If it has a bad moveset, just leave it and collect more of the same to try again, no point in wasting candy and stardust on a useless Pokemon.
Don't expect to make a strong version of your favourite Pokemon in this game, you'll have to take what game offers you. You can only really make strong Pokemon out of what's common in your area. If it's Growliths you're fine, if it's Pidgeys you're fucked.

Each Evee has different abilities and you just evolve them based on their unique abilities. If you want Vaporeon all you have to do is evolve the Evee with the 'Tackle and Dig' ability. No need to change its name.
I can't recall which abilities give you Flareon and Jolteon though. Sorry.

every time i open the game it freezes at the loading screen, i have to close and restart it like 6-10 times before it works and then when i catch a pokemon most of the time the game freezes and needs to be restarted, then i have to go through the loading screen problem again.

Articuno murders Dragonites which is the main threat in GO since the fairies do shit all against it. Zappy is only useful for the Gyaradoses and Vaporeon but you already have Jolteon to deal with it and unless it carries over its supremely useful moveset from the games it's brick tier.

Do you think the app will get better in the future? For some reason the servers tend to fuck up whenever I'm just about to catch something I haven't caught yet, and when I get back in fifteen minutes later tthe Pokemon has disappeared. Missed an Electabuzz and a Squirtle this way, neither of which I've encountered again since.
I also hope they'll make a 'lite' layout for the app, since this thing drains my battery in an hour and a half. The 3D graphics aren't that important to me, I wouldn't mind something simpler that doesn't cost so much resources. Maybe just the map layout with stationary Pokemon icons to tap on.
If Niantic is anything like Gamefreak though, nothing will improve, I guess, aside from more items to charge for and maybe more pokemon.

Yep, live in the middle of nowhere. I'm fortunate enough to live a 5 minute walk from the only Pokestop in the area but everything else is quiet a way away.
All the Pokemon around are garbage too, the only decent Pokemons I've found over the last 2 days in my area are Eevees.

I think that's why the bans are so forgiving, even for cheaters: because they have no way of knowing which of us are spoofing and which of us are innocent people being affected by their shitty servers and ordinary phone/GPS glitches, which makes me believe that spoofing may never be a permanently bannable offense
