Do you think the Pokemon Amiibos will play a role in Pokemon Sun and Moon? There really hasn't been much use for them, besides Smash Bros.
Personally, I'm hoping that each Amiibo (assuming customization is a thing), provides a set of clothing that represents the Amiibo. Like, a Pikachu hat and shirt, with a bag.

It'd be perfectly reasonable and probably easy to have the amiibo unlock event versions of the amiibo. So for instance, Pikachu when scanned in would allow you to pick up a Pikachu in a Cherish ball from the lady in the Pokemon Center. If there's bases or somewhere we could decorate, you'd get a little in game version of the amiibos.
In fact it'd be honestly kind of cool to be able to buy them in the game with something like Pokemiles or something so if you didn't have the amiibos, you could still get them in game.
Pikachu should have a new version in Sun/Moon packaging, and they should make ones of the starters, Sogaleao, Lunaala and maybe Tapu too. Each unlocks the Pokemon too.
(obviously, you could still trade but if you were a forever alone you could spend your neetbux on them and get the other ones)
