>Melemele confirmed, means yellow, based on Oahu, who's signature color is yellow, which is also a Gen 1 game/color on Kukui's hat
>Big Island is based on the Big Island in Hawaii, who's signature color is red, Ula Ula in Hawaiian, also a Gen 1 game/color on Kukui's hat, most likely named Ula Ula
>Only two islands that fit both themes
So /vp/, what do you think? Last two islands are based on Maui & Kauai. Will they be named after gen 1 colors/colors on Kukui's hat or Island colors, which will the last two islands be named? http://www.strawpoll.me/10635341

>Gen 1/Kukui hat
Polu (Blue) & Omaomao (Green)

Akala (Pink) & Poni (Purple)

It seems that the islands will be named after the colors most associated with the main islands of Hawaii, we already know about Melemele which is the color most associated with Oahu, so the others are likely Poni (purple) which is most associated with Kauai which the legendary island is based on, 'Ākala (pink) which is most associated with Maui and is possibly the island with the volcano, and finally 'Ula'ula (red) which is most associated with Hawaii island and is the island with the ice mountain. So Melemele has an Electric/Fairy guardian so why not give Poni a Poison/Fairy guardian, 'Ākala maybe a Psychic/Fairy guardian, and 'Ula'ula a Fire/Fairy or maybe Ground/Fairy?

But Kukui's hat does have the Gen 1 colors, you'd think his rainbow hat consists of the four island's colors, so that rainbow would be the symbol of the Alola region.

>Melemele first island (Oahu)
>Omaomao second island (Maui)
>Polu third island (Kauai)
>Ulaula final island (Hawaii)

But Melemele & Ula Ula fit into both schemes, so could be either

It can go etiher way, but I'd rather have it be named after the official island's colors just for the sheer posibility of a poison legendary.

Fire/Fairy at the active volcano.
Grass/Fairy at the tree on the legendaries' island
Ice/Fairy at the mountain peak, or Water Fairy in the mini archipelago below.
