The design is great aside from the swept up shoulder blade. In battle Aggron is shit because of that rock typing, but Mega-Aggron is a fucking monster. I don't even have any significant amount of defense EVs invested in it and the thing usually ends up taking down one pokemon and crippling another while taking hits like a beast. Works really well under my TR team, but I lead with it since it doesn't even need TR to wreck shit.

The only reason he isn't more prominent is because Mega Sableye is a son of a bitch for stall.

I run mine impish 252 hp and 252 def with three attacking moves and then Rest... even with no attacking ev's It does surprisingly well because it just refuses to take any physical damage. Every time it just dishes out more than it takes, and that's all it needs to do.

I paired it with a wish pass/ heal bell mon, and it just never dies.

Do you ever get fucked by special attackers switching in on that rest in singles? Or do you just play doubles?

Not terribly often. I have a dedicated special wall that can deal with special attackers... mainly a wish/heal bell/ scald/ "x" fully specially defensive vaporeon. Heal bell allows me to wake up aggron early and continue the mayhem, while wish guarantees me a safer-ish swap back into it.
I've thought about swapping it for florges, but the fire resist is too good to pass up.

Love it's design. Love it in the TCG. Couldn't get it to work as well as I wanted in regular OU or VGC, but damn is it isn't fun to use.

what sets do you guys use?
the smogon set seems OKAY but i was curious if there is something that fares better?

Design is significantly worse than base Aggron, I don't play stall in UU and would rather blast off choice band STAB head smashes than be a big turd wall with only rest talk.
