What is the saltiest encounter you've ever faced online/ on showdown?
I was just playing PU without thinking too much about it, I just like to use Dusclops and what not, this guy freezed me once with Ice Beam, I thawed out one turn later, he once again froze me with Ice Beam and again I thawed out immediatly.
He started the typical "oh my god im losing this because of luck" and escalated from there. He was timer stalling, accusing me of stalling because I was pain splitting with Dusclops (when I took at max 5 seconds to choose the attack, but nevermind that) etc.
Near the end, he was still complaining, calling me "lucky fucker", I typed "I like chocolate Ice cream" because it was what I was eating.
He ragequitted.
I have no idea what was that.
I was salty af yesterday. I was in the semifinals for a 2v2 doubles tourney and I got parahax twice on both my mon in the same turn and missed icy wind and rockslide on the same turn. Had I hit those i would've won easily. The most salty person I battled had to of been this guy who wouldn't stop PMing me that my team is shit and it is just a meme team despite it beating him 4 times after he demanded rematches.

I've had a bunch of people follow me after battles demanding rematches and talking shit, they keep talking shit after losing over and over, never understood why. Probably some sort of "last bark" mindset or whatever.
Other times, spic kids get angry at me for fucking up their 6 Rayylmao teams, I just link them to Trump videos.
But the worst one I can remember was when I defeated some guy doing a gimmick, he got so angry that he took about half an hour to build a hackmons team from scratch and then challenged me to a custom battle. I accepted, because I'd never expect that to happen. He won, but lost 4 mons.
Me and my opponent were down to my Togekiss and his Smeargle. He transformed into Togekiss while I T-waved him, then he did the same the next turn. We ended up trying to parahax each other and I kept winning the speed coin flip, so he just stalled for time.
I once hit six Focus Misses in a row.

I have a really good triples, teeter dance + own tempo team, and I kept getting paired against this Spanish guy, who got mad I beat him so many times. He kept cursing at me in Spanish. Also, some guy started going into my battles and telling everyone what my strategy was, but the people I was against were pretty cool and didn't care. Triples are quite fun.

It's about having momentum. I use it the same way people use U-Turn and Volt Switch. Baton Pass tells me who he's going to if/when he hard-switches out on my Vaporeon, so that I can go to the appropriate mon.

The real problem with that story is that Poison Fang does not usually KO Sylveon unless Tyrantrum is Adamant and Life Orb and Sylveon has no HP investment, and even then it is only a 75% chance. And on top of that, Head Smash is stronger than Poison Fang even with the Strong Jaw boost. Just run Rock Head, Strong Jaw is garbage on Tyrantrum.

One time on Showdown, I got the unicorn in Ubers. I usually run Shedinja, and happened to face someone with absolutely no way to hurt it on his entire team. Needless to say he was pissed.
The number of forfeits Shedinja grabs in general whenever a Xerneas wastes its Power Herb is delicious as well.

Fuck online/showdown had an actual IRL ragequit about a month ago.
A few people dragged me to this ridiculous Gaming Club thing on campus one night. The gaming club requested an event room to hold various exhibitions/tournaments/drafts for a handful of different fanbases.
The MTG crowd either had BYO Deck tournaments or a quick Draft tournament. They were the largest group at the event but a handful of people also played other games.
I keep my 3DS on and in my bag while I'm on campus so street pass activates a lot. Anyway, there were a group of 5 people in the corner of the room glued to their own 3/2DS systems. I kept heard them ask "who the fuck is this Anon person? Did you guys pass Anon too? Anon didn't give me any new puzzle pieces, fucking asshole." Sat with a the friend who brought me there to casually watch a Smash exhibition that was taking place but got bored and booted up Omega Ruby.
The group with their handhelds eventually saw and came over to me and pretty much demanded a battle. I tried to decline but their ringleader kept insisting. Finally said ok and was ready for the battle. My traveling team is super Karenfag. When my opponent saw that he laughed, pat me on the shoulder and told me he would go easy on him.
My battlebox team, however, was much more viable.
He used the essential OU Stall Smogon Copypasta team. I knew, from the preview alone, what his strategy would be and how he would lead.
I got my set up ready and let him KO my first mon.
I then swept his entire team with my next two pokemon. He got angry and said "if it was Gen 1 I would kick your ass!"
Well, I happen to have the VC games so I asked if he wanted to try.
I didn't want to take it easy. Agilty/Wrap Dragonite took care of most his team and the rest was up to Tauros.
When I got his final mon down to half health he stood up, called me a few names, slammed his system shut, and knocked his chair over as he walked back to the corner of the room.

Sylveon pretty much has to be 0 HP/Def EVs if you want to OHKO it with Jolly Tyrantrum's Poison Fang and no Life Orb.
But the really interesting bit of math to keep in mind is that a neutral Head Smash is about 10% stronger than a 4x effective Strong Jaw Poison Fang. There is literally no reason to ever run Poison Fang on Tyrantrum.

I encountered some guy who had only Mega Charizard X.
He got real cocky and I knew what he wanted to do, so I let him boost all game and go through all my team, because I had at the end of my team a sashed mon with counter. When his Charizard died to counter and he lost, hooo boy the rage in the chat was glorious. It was all about how I can't win with gimmicks and it wasn't a real win and shit like that. I think I made a comment about how I could've beat him all game, when I pulled out my counter mon, I don't remember exactly though.
I also once froze a mega rayquayquay on turn 1 once, and the opponent insta-forfeited.

if he had either just protected or SDed like most showdown randbats zangoose usually have, I think I would've definitely lost at least 2 mons to that thing. Didn't have a single ghost on my team and terrakion was my best counter. Facade would've absolutely obliterated octillery and probably 2hkoed terrakion (or if he had CC, probably ohkoed). I just don't know what he was thinking switching out on the first turn with that matchup.
