I never said they were GODAWFUL 13-YEAR-OLD DESIGNED PIECES OF FURFAGGOTRY SHIT. Believe it or not, I actually LIKE Luxray, but even I realize the "dark fur + srs red/yellow eyes" is a big departure from his pre-evos, and one that stands out among the more cartoony and softer designs of the majority of pokemon.
Same thing with Noivern, really. The predominantly black/purple color scheme, even being able to shoehorn in some red, and even having the same dual-color eyes that Luxray has, just with different colors. But I'll be the first to admit, I might be biased: out of every common pokemon, Noivern screams the most "Digimon" to me, which might be influencing my opinion.

What can I say, I like purple (/blue/pink).
The first movie was released when I was 6~7 years old and ever since, Mewtwo has been my favourite Pokémon. I was still a huge Mewtwo fan even when I wasn't a Pokémon fan anymore (stopped playing because gen 3 was so bad I could literally not stand playing it at all, and then picked up again shortly before BW were released).
That being said, gen 2 was my favourite gen and it was hard to pick a fave. And Sableye is literally the ONLY gen 3 Pokémon I genuinely like. Gen 5 was a close call between Hydreigon and Galvantula, gen 6 between Sylveon and Pangoro. You could probably just swap those around.

I honestly wouldn't care very much for Sandslash but the shiny is absolutely gorgeous. That red tone is absolutely perfect and it blends in perfectly with the slightly changed color of the body, and I'm the only one in the world who cares for shone Scizor, but my favorite pokémon combined with my favorite color is absolute boner fuel.
And I still think Genesect looks nothing like a legendary, doesn't have the lore of one, it's just a meaningless title at this point. Most people in the pokéverse probably don't even know it exists.
