Every time you hack the panel, the game will remove the turns the path makes.
Eventually it will run out of turns and just go straight.

Loco's and Sweepers with 000 Buckshot pick up 30% less ammo than they would otherwise. A 000 Judge and a 000 Loco pick up the same amount. Works out to 80%~ chance for a bullet per pickup.

RNG can play a role in this. If the train cart you need is in a good spot, there's always great cover. Also, as a masterforcer, you won't reach the sniper breakpoint. So, yeah, with all the snipers that can shoot through trees and shit - you will have some issues staying alive.
