I'm still kind of baffled they're going back to melee/guns as the foundation of the equipment system. That got tossed out of Persona even by the time of P2. Only Devil Summoner and Mainline SMT still use it.
The 'demons' you fight this time probably won't be called demons again, but being set in Tokyo, in some ways it's got some mainline SMT staples that even Strange Journey didn't have.
