Strange Journey or IV. Both are accessible, mainline games and easy enough to get your hands on. Don't start with Persona; the OP guide recommends P4 as a starter game, and it's lying to you. Persona is funand I love P3 to death, but it's not SMT proper and it'll leave you with a bad expectation as to what the SMT franchise as a whole is about.

Nocturne on hard was the first one I actually beat, some people recommended Persona 3 but between the Social Links and fatigue system that could potentially turn off a lot of people. SMTI is pretty easy but if you don't know what you're doing it's incredibly easy to get lost both in the maps themselves and with figuring out what you need to do next and where. Strange Journey and IV are also pretty good choices I suppose, though those play a lot different from earlier titles.

I swear i thought this would have romance because it seems to be more about the characters then any smt game. Im really let down it goes nowhere, also i dont see how it doesn't tell you what happens because all the characters seem to like someone or are pair up. the glasses guy and the otaku blue haired girl, the ganster and his milf child hood friend, yuzu and the mc, jin and the other older women you meet, etc,etc. you saying this all goes nowhere, not even a bit? how far can you help gangster kid with the milf? does she not love him? or does she a bit later on? im not gonna lie im a really disappointed this game doesn't go more in depth with these characters because so far its really good at using the characters, more so then persona because you chat more with them. for it not to go anywhere is a shame.
