Ameno doesn't die forever or anything when the IT defeat him, he outright says that he's still going to be there, keeping an eye on the humans to return and lay down fog again if they go back to wanting it. Yeah. Golden has you pick the cards and has crazy bonuses like 'Persona goes up a level' and the cards never reverse. For negatives you just have things like Devil which give you +3 more card picks but null your experience gain for the fight. Which is a lot nicer than what the old Devil was.
