No, for all intents and purposes, KSP should be considered still in early access state. The game is nowhere near being able to stand on its own legs both from a gameplay perspective (career mode is definitely not ready and balanced) and a stability perspective. There are still major bugs and memory leaks that shouldn't exist on a finished game.

>Are there big issues with the game?
Bugs and instability are still real and frequent problems, as with every product still in beta. Ask in thread for details.

>What are the devs doing?
Modified versions of popular mods are being included in the stock game while the game engine is being upgraded to its latest version. The next major update (1.1) is supposedly going to bring a complete overhaul of the GUI, be 64bit friendly, have a refined physics/heating/aero model and generally perform better. An external team with heavily questionable experience (Flying Tiger Entertainment) is being tasked with porting the game to PS4, XboxOne and Wii U. They seem to be rushing for an imminent deadline and they are also working on a version of the game that will be obsolete in a few weeks/months.

>Should I buy the game?
KSP is very enjoyable at first, then it usually needs to be modded to retain some sort of longevity, but doing so may dramatically increase the instability of the game. You will be very familiar with the word "Oops!". The Developers, Squad, have shown many times that they can't handle the project and are trying to squeeze all the money they can with the least amount of effort and with controversial PR tactics. The general consensus at /kspg/ is that you should torrent the game, not because the game itself is unplayable, but because most of us agree that Squad does not deserve your money.

My guess is that this person saw the other redditors play 1.1 so he asked them how to play too, they told him to make that beta testing shit. Then he did, and wanted to report a bug so he just makes a thread himself. You can give them bug report templates, play 20 questions with them, and ask any number of direct questions to clarify their issue, and still end up with what essentially amounts to absolutely useless information. Half the time they simply don't know how to play the fucking game.

While Squad is a bunch of shitty Mexican Marketers, keeping their QA internal is the smartest thing they can do.

If you're testing seriously? Keep good notes. Most people don't have perfect memories, so taking down notes on everything you do can make it easier for you to recall important details.

Start new sessions whenever possible. You want to minimize variables whenever you can, so that the people looking at your reports can reproduce them without having to take a course in mind reading and divination first.

Write your steps for reproducing bugs out so that a grade-schooler could reproduce the bug. You'll feel like an idiot, and the guys looking at your report may too to a certain extent, but they'll thank you later (if only in their head,) when they don't have to guess.

I always tell new hires this stuff, and the ones who actually follow these steps tend to pick the rest of the tricks up, and get their contracts renewed.

The load times for getting a ship out of the VAB onto the launch pads take forever. For a ~80 parts ship it took me 5 minutes. The game even went through not responding. Whenever I stage the game freezes for 5 seconds.

I have an Mk1-2 Command Pod
Underneath this is a Rhino Liquid Fuel Engine
I can add a stack of fuel tanks between the CP and Rhino, however since the Rhino is at the bottom I cannot drop off the tanks, and if I put the Rhino at the top everything explodes

Then you can find fuel connector pipes.
Take them, click on the side tanks and then click on the middle tank. The fuel pipe arrows should point into the middle tank then.

Also the backstory is that Squad decided to make the console versions but has tocharge everyone $60 for them, including the people who funded the game being developed. Since they used development time to work on console versions (and then claimed they were working on 1.1 because >one and the same) this means their very act would be the definition of fraud if it weren't for their shitty decision to jump to 1.0 and declare the game complete and early access finished.

So basically, the devs have been riding the money train ever since the white devs that made all the features that attracted people got fired, eventually steam kicked them out, so now they're selling their bloatware to every machine that can play it (and a huge proportion that can't!) and not offering refunds and oh by the way they have sold around 4 mil copies at $35 each and have a tax haven in the netherlands called Deported bv it's written into the terms of service where they're hiding all the money from Mexico

Jesus Christ, you have the decouplers in the same stage as the engine.
That means they will decouple as soon as you start the engine (which is what happened in your webm).

To fix this, you need to click the + button on the organge bar above your stages and move the decouplers ABOVE your engine.

In the end, your staging should look like this

Stage 0
Decoupler
Decoupler
Decoupler

Stage 1
Engine

The firing order is from bottom to top, so in this case you press the space-bar once to start the engine and you press it a second time when the tanks run dry to separate them

Open the resource tab on the top right
Click on the fuel, now you see on screen how much fuel there is in the tanks (assuming this works the same on 1.1, which I haven't tried), when they run out you stage and you are left with only a full central one.

You can also right click the central tank and click the small button that disables it, it will never run out until you enable it again. Use it as a reserve of some sorts, when the engine stops working it means the side tanks ran out of fuel and you can drop them, then you have to manually activate the tank again, it works the same but it's more complicated to do while flying.

When you connect tanks with fuel lines, it's as if it all becomes one big tank and that's what you see in the small fuel gauge you have next to your engine.
