Top 300 is Mobius 1, of course.
From 300 to 2000, you get Mobius 2, and every 1000 spots you get Mobius 3, 4, 5 and so on to top 8000.
It works same as last year. People have to burn 60 fuel a day to stay on the top, made worse because this time it's 2 weeks of forced sorties rather than just one.

Aces, Brothers, Friends - I find myself facing inner turmoil. Do I keep my level 3 MiG-35D, or do I swap my fighter slot over to my ADF-01 -OS-? The 35D feels a bit off to me, same with the 6AA, but on the other hand on the ADF-01 I am relatively terrible and level 1, and needing 4M credits to up the level of the craft, the beautiful plane hits very hard with standard missiles. Not so sure if I could use the TLS well enough, though.
I almost just want to go back to my Fulcrum Dragon.

I honestly can't imagine it without inserting some kind of edgelord cutscene with torture or somebody getting shot up unusually violently outside of regular gameplay. Vehicle combat just isn't gruesome without showing the crew and that's not something that makes a lot of sense in a jet fighter game because it's almost always just you and an RIO or WSO I'd often unseen behind you.
It makes more sense in a tank game though, where a simulated crew that can get fucked up by a shot penetrating the crew compartment would be PTSD tier.

Is there any in-universe explanation for the various aerospace manufacturers in Strangereal? I know Gründer Industries made some of the fictional planes, but what about the real ones?

I've wondered this too. If nothing else, one of the strengths of Strangereal is that you can shoot down more planes of a type than were ever built because it's an alternate universe that builds a shitload more planes than we do.
That was actually one of my biggest, and most nitpicky, problems with HAWX and Assault Horizon. As soon as you set these kind of games in the real world everything becomes really silly with "private armies" fielding ridiculous planes in ridiculous numbers, typically more than were ever even built. For whatever reason THAT'S what really pushes my suspension of disbelief.

Artemis is rich as fuck, the variety and amount of planes they field is completely believable. When they give PMCs that much power there isn't much they couldn't do with money

The private army comment was specifically directed at HAWX. I think its ridiculous that any private army could afford to field the logistics necessary to keep an air force the size of the US and Russia combined operational ridiculous.
I dont remember the story of Assault Horizon anymore aside from MARKOV! bit I presume it's some alternate history where Russia doesn't shit the bed in terms of its air force, but theres a lot of revisionist history that needs to happen before that's a thing.
Like I said it's a really nitpicky and autistic thing to have a problem with but it bugs me.

I don't think you're remembering correctly, this isn't shown anywhere in Hawx. The only times Artemis' strength is shown is when they go toe to toe with a USN carrier battle group with about 15 destroyers, during the invasion of Washington with about 200 fighters and numerous cargo planes and tanks and during their final last stand, where they have hundreds of ground units but less than a hundred fighters.
For a massive multinational corporation that they are, that isn't unreasonable at all. They're never shown to have thousands and thousands of fighters.

I actually have a serious question, how exactly do you do tabletop air combat? the attack/defence mechanism is just like any other tabeltop wargame but how do you represent altitude difference? and I suppose cloud cover works more or less like any cover, by adding like 2 points to the dice roll or something
