I read the Getchu page.
- MC is a badass lone wolf intent on destroying the evil organization controlling the city. His partner is Carol, a cool beauty, who's only sexual partner is MC (rare for witches, since they need semen to live, so they tend to fuck a lot of people).
- Gloria is a lone wolf who enjoys fighting without making a distinction between good and evil. She assists MC when he needs help, but otherwise keeps to herself. A rough nee-san character.
- Wilma is intelligent and far more mature than other witches (most of whom have a child's maturity level for whatever reason). She works with MC, but only because it benefits her.
- Sandy is the strongest and cruelest witch who enjoys hunting those of her own race and cutting witches in half.
- Isabel is a major slut who loves sex and works with Sandy.
- Edna is a knight who enjoys battles. Is neutral.
- The goals of the bad guys (see: witch-hunters that rule the city and employ sandy) are unknown (see: not written on getchu).
- Black guy is a religious fanatic looking for an artifact in the city. Is a rational person but does not falter from torturing heretics (see: witches) and in fact does so with glee.

If you're in the text menu and get gibberish it's most likely because you have to change what it tries to read. There's a way to change that somewhere in the upper part of the text menu window where the threads are, can't look at it right now though.

But at the first you don't. To summarize; your grand sword at the start is the superior weapon, it deals immense damage to the small monsters as you can see it. When you try to engage the beholder at the church it hits your sword and breaks just above its hilt.
At this state you don't even waste potions and attack it, dealing 2-3 damage per turn until you drop down. However, a second sword (a weaker blade) between the victim nun's breasts, falls by your side and you get a second chance to fight and drop the monster.
Once you beat it, the very first mission you start will grant you a secondary, which is a silver short sword next to your blade. You still have the first broken sword you have with you and can repair it, when you do the right progression.
Combat controls are easy; left top is attack, right top is defend, left bottom is magic (you have to beat a boss monster for that, you can change the elementals later), and right bottom is escape. You simply heal by tapping on the potion line with your mouse.
You can find potions as well as cute suits around the map, if you use "explore (the square you're in)" command on the map screen. That also allow you to interact with towns, and palace where you get information, quests and directions
Each mission consists one or two mini-bosses, and those mini-bosses are generally tied to the boss monster of the area. Beating mini-bosses generally reliant on your secondary weapons, revealing a secret gate or you ought to find some specific artifact which causes them to reveal themselves to you. Sometimes bosses can be only hurt from certain secondary weapons as well, but sometimes they require you to find an item or kill the reliant mini-boss first.
If you delve really deep into the game (which I didn't), I read that there area 7 areas you need to solve, and to reach the best ending you have to lose and get body modifications at some parts too.

Plenty of people post screeshots and such with Japanese text on it. For example ちんくるツインクル フェスティバル! got posted several times last thread.
Most people I'm sure aren't suffering through shitty machine translations for these games that don't have translations which get discussed often.

I don't particularly think people would talk about the story of most of these eroge even if we did all speak Japanese.
People discuss characters all the time, which is important anywhere including eroge.
Although I don't know what games do or don't have a translation, I can discuss any game in this thread and I will be able to have a discussion about it with someone so long as it's not too obscure. Clearly a decent amount of this thread knows Japanese. Your community can't be up-to-date on the latest things and be able to discuss them if none of them can speak the language. And there was that blog posted the other day that people read about ntrpg3 getting delayed. There are a decent amount of people here who understand Japanese.
