Trying an Irvine build, would I need some points in Skill for the sake of running through the base game or just put all points in BLT and use Evelyn/Chikage until the DLC?
I've noticed beast mode claws have longer dodges, but does it also affect I frames?
And it rakes up the meter so fast dang son.
Gave up on my BLT build. Woke up this morning at 8am to farm those BLT gems, its 6pm now and not 1 off shape gem dropped. 3 eye runes, 323 discovery rate, farmed watchers, BSB, Bloodlickers and not 1 single gem dropped. And I need 5 gems. This level of extreme autism required is too much. I thought I was playing Bloodborne not a generic korean MMO with 0.1% drop rates.
Any tips on stats for an amy arm/gatling combo? I'm really digging both of these.

Go 50 blt 25 skl to end with and start with 25 skl. Been using a maxed out bowblade with those stats and i do perplexingly great damage with both melee and arrows. It lets you do nasty shit with the switch attacks and arrow stabs.

Arc gem farming has always been one of the hardest, most mind numbing activities.

Nah, they have a rough start, require a lot of farming (Although the Cold Abyssal buff has made things much easier.), and most enemies/bosses in the game are aggressive to the point where if you don't time a cast right, you're dead. Also, if you want your tools to be super powerful, you have to invest a lot of points into ARC, which doesn't leave a lot of room for other stats-- especially if you want to stay at a reasonably low level. You do have a lot of utility, though, and tools like the Executioner's Gloves will stunlock just about everything. It's definitely a lot more fun to be a spellcaster in BB than it is in Souls.

You can consistently dodge and counter Orphan without the 1-2 poke you're taking about if you're appropriately aggressive. Dodging back and trying to score heals literally the instant you're not being hit are not tactical decisions in these fights, also if you're comfortable using l1s and r2s for regain it's still a pretty competent system, especially with higher rally weapons like BB, Axe, MLGS or Reiter

The thing that makes it possible is how the nightmare could be depicting Amelia at a different point in her life. But there really isn't any evidence of that being the case, and all we know for sure about the nun in the DLC is that she's saying the same prayer and praying at the same altar.

When you break the window in the Lumenflower garden and come down to the top floor of the Cathedral in the main game, if you look down you see the altar and the arena you fought Amelia in. The exact same window in the nightmare drops you down to the same altar the woman was praying at. The same altar you find his skull at. Whether or not it's Amelia, it's most certainly the same place.

just beat Bloodborne and its DLC for the first time today.
what happened?
Bloodborne has so little weapons its disgusting, the bosses are ok but I really liked the Gherman and Gascan fight more than any other, even the true final boss "the red tentacle thing" wasn't really that hard. the DLC tho, wew lad that was fun but the final area was pretty crap, like the first 2 areas have a lot of different paths and shortcuts and are big, than you get to the final area and it's just 1 long corridor and the final boss was pretty shallow compared to the other 3 bosses. wish there was more than just 4 bosses (1 of which is a shitty horde boss)
