What server should I play on? I'm hesitant of pvp since it's gotten shittier every xpac, I've never been one for pve but I'd like to start.
I like the idea of high pop server so I can always find a raid, but not looking forward to launch.
I haven't played hardcore since Cata, but end up with every xpac. It's like Blizz has me on a leash.

Artifact beast form skins for druids are probably the best idea for Legion.
Finally you will be able to unlock something during an expansion that stays with you.
Noone will care about your WoD mythic raid gear once Legion comes out and people can farm it.
But the artifact skins will stay with you, even after Legion, and be something special that people who didn't achieve it in Legion will never get, since it's stated by Blizzard that you will not be able to get new artifact skins once Legion is over.
For druids it's especially nice since using transmogs on them is quite a useless act. I'll probably use all of my time in Legion to get as many druid artifact skins as possible, for both cat and bear.

People still play Wildstar? There was in ingame census in May that showed the pre-steam release TOTAL population for the whole game was roughly 1500 during peak hours.
Steam started off with only 5000 players, and only 2 months later they are struggling to break 2k (http://steamcharts.com/app/376570).
A know a lot of people who converted to steam launch to inflate the number. How inflated it is is unknown, but the game has roughly 3k active players. That is just higher than Nostalrius' PvE server a private vanilla WoW server. Hell Nosts' PvP had 11k during peak. That is just pathetic for Carbine. that they have less subs than a 10 year old version of wow which probably originally started as good good working out of a garage on a small server.
