Is it normal that my bow times suck compared to my CB and HH?
Am I just not that good with it yet? Or is it one of those weapons that sucks until you have the endgame tiers, like the IG?
I really want to pick up a Gunner weapon, but every time I've tried I've given up because it feels weak and lackluster compared to even mid-tier blademaster weapons.
When I use arrows I don't feel any "power" from them, I don't see the monster stagger and trip the same way I do when I slam with the HH or charge up with the CB.
Should I just git gud, or is the bow just not as good?

hbg is sort of weird but you're looking for a mix of high raw, good clip size, and (depending on what shots you're using) level of recoil. normal 2 and pierce 2 are your standard ammo types

Guy that asked about generations here. Someone said that they changed the weapon and armor upgrade system, and lagriacrus. What'd they change? I liked both of those things so I'm worried what they changed. Also seems like generations is good just less content than 4u. So thats pretty good, especially considering I didn't even finish 4U.

God's Isle is optimal choice, since it can belt off all crags and clusters with ease, along with good built in ammo.

Demon's Isle is a decent alternative since it can still belt off all the crag/cluster shots like God's Isle, but it doesn't get to rapid fire. It also has 20 less raw than God.
However, it has amazing built in ammo for a fire element LBG, on top of the crag/cluster spam. It makes for a good alternative in some cases.

I use both LBG and HBG. Just try them out.
Buy your ammo from the shop and for big hunts take along a few books of combos and ingredients to craft more ammo.
Use item sets to refresh your ammo in between hunts. I like to have 69 Normal lv2 in them for low rank as you get 30 from the supply chest.
Pierce 1 and Normal 2 are always useful, cheap too. Avoid pellets. Internal ammo are fun to mess around with but see what works.
Don't feel bad if you can't find an opening to use seige mode. Try using flash bombs if you can seige fire an ammo worth using like pierce, normal or crag/clust.
There's a guide for bowguns in the OP pastebin. In MHG Adept and Arial are super fun on both bowguns.
