Is pretty correct - the bosses didn't act often, which is why I valued hastega from RW over Wall. Shout may have been a better option but I already had a boostga from DkCecil. I had to S/L about ten times from overpowering physical damage.

Kick Rain out and use Firion, he is superior in every way except Full Break (something that Rain don't even have in our version yet). Firion is an amazing physical unit too, with great skills like blade bash, bladeblitz and killer passives.
While Lasswell is slightly better (mostly because of katanas), use Luna instead of him so you can work on her trust to get Barrage eventually.

He's one of my favorite villains from the entire series, and happens to be quite strong. Even if I wanted Chizuru above Exdeath, this roll had nobody else of note. What I wanted was Exdeath plus any one of Cloud of Darkness, Cecil, Vaan, Chizuru or even Bartz. But in 439 rolls, I've seen two Exdeaths, and both had nothing with them.

I got pretty mad, when I realized, ten years after playing this, that in the vague "jobs" of VIII (such as Zell-Monk, Selphie-Gambler) Rinoa's initial job is a Ninja, because she has a dog and a pinwheel. I'm not even remotely okay with this.
XI so far has been great, yet it's so weird how different it is from the Final Fantasies that came before it, Sony-wise and in general, no? Honestly a bit sad that it doesn't get talked about more, because all of the job implementation and story is great. Is it just because of the Everquest feel that keeps people off?
I only started playing like last year, and my first FFs were Crystal Chronicles and 3 on DS. Only ever got to do the rest of 1-6 because of the GBA ports, to put things into perspective. Pictlogica and RK worth the play? Love Picross and the style in the latter looks neat enough.

It was pretty great, yeah. I did my best back when the game was in it's last full swing with Rhapsodies to drum up discussion here. Taking many screenshots and webms as I could to see if I could get people to talk about the game.
The only barrier that stops people the majority of the time from playing XI is the impending doom of a subscription. When honestly they could buy the game and never sub, playing only during the first 30 days and free logins. Once you're past that and the installation nightmare of Playonline, that's when the, as you put it "Everquest feel", the archaic nature of the game is the second mountain to climb. Past that, it's smooth sailings. So that's three barriers to overcome to even play, it's no surprise that not many have played it in /ffg/
Pictologica is fun, almost like doing Picross in Brain Training style. But the language barrier is an issue. FFRK and Brave Exvius are the main talk of discussion here on /ffg/ so yeah, pretty good games.

Except guiding the party to do what they wanted was in direct opposition to the True Hero, and helped get them to the point where they could directly attack him. They ended up wanting to destroy the sun cryst in spite of the occuria's guidance, not because of it; they wanted to do exactly what they wanted for the first 85% of the game.

It set up their entire claim to fame, their entire initial goal, and many of the methods used to attempt to achieve this goal, in ways that could only be taken advantage of by Ashe. How is that not help?

You don't have much reroll time left, from what I've seen people say. Chizuru, Garland, and Kefka are all very nice, Golbez is nice, and the gunner guy isn't too bad either.
That's worth keeping. I doubt you'll get anything better for a while, and reroll time will probably end before that happens.
Does Bartz's Auto-Potion just work with regular potions?

55 mythril and 12 draws later, I got the Dream Harp. That's all the mythril I'm gonna spend on this event. So now I have a physical instrument and a magic instrument.
Now how do I make Edward work? He can use Full Break and... bard skills which consist of a shittier Ruin, Sleepga that hardly works, literally Protectga and Shellga, Boostga made obsolete by Shout, and Faithga made obsolete by the brand new SB I just got.
When do we get that 5* Bard skill, and is it any good?

Just load him with Full Break and a Breakdown like any other Support, unless of course you actually need the Protectga or Shellga in a fight.
And the 5* Bard skill is alright I suppose, if you don't have one of the many SBs that give heavy Regen these days. It came for JP during Gold Fest, the same event that brought MC3s to the game. It was a couple days before Cloud's OSB came out, around the end of April.
