Alright so I was here around January maybe looking to hack my 3ds and I went through all of the guide, I THINK, but stopped after realizing my sd card was too small(4gb). I had school and just didn't care about it again until now. I got a new 64gb samsung card and looking to do the hack on that.
So what do I do? I don't even remember how to boot into the hack screen or whatever. And I don't know how to switch it to the other card, and/or if I need to do other steps before doing that.

If I could get some advice on my situation, I will send one of you lucky anons an immortal and unusedelfloli.
I accessed Homebrew on my 10.7U n3DS through oot3dhax and attempted a downgrade; it encountered an error while doing the actual downgrade. Thus I'm now using a partially downgraded system. To complete the downgrade, I used browserhax to access Homebrew to install and configure menuhax. It said menuhax installed correctly, but whenever I try to hold the trigger (D-PAD DWN) I specified to use at boot, it just boots to the home menu. I did the whole "switching themes and revert back before installing," but it doesn't seem to initialize the data. Further, just using browserhax to get into Homebrew and thus systemupgrader seems to always result in "INIT HAX..."
Am I boned? I'm really unsure as to why menuhax isn't working.

So I'm following the Plailect guide and on Part 2 trying to downgrade to 9.2. At step 12. it moved on from the HAX INIT just fine on the second try and I got all good from when it checked the update files.
Then once it started installing it did all good for a while and suddenly threw a nintendo error on the bottom screen.
After that I booted and got a black screen but it boots just fine if I take out the sd card.
I'm assuming I got a partial downgrade but how do I continue from here? Do I do the browser hax again to get into the homebrew launcher and downgrade again?

Everytime I try to run Monster Hunter Generations I get the "An Error has occured. Hold down the POWER Button to turn off the power, then turn it on and try again." error. I've tried to reinstall the .cia several times, tried different downloads and tried to repair through the eshop. I'm using cfw on an O3DS.

This is complete bullshit, Smash first used it back in 7.x and it's existed for even longer than that. Not only that but you'd STILL have issues if your CFW didn't patch reboots, you'd lose all of the running patches including the signature check if it let the system do its regular procedure.

Hold L when starting Cakes to get into the menu, check the patches menu, turn the "survive reboots" one on. That's assuming you're using Cakes of course. Luma and even fucking rxTools should do it properly by default, switching to Luma should also solve your problem.

You probably restored the wrong emunand.bin file, or you might've fucked up the naming when you backed them up. You're supposed to restore emunand_original.bin, the first backup you made in part 4.
If you started the guide from scratch and you haven't installed any games since starting it, you can also restore the sysnand.bin backup made in part 2 (but since you say "old sysnand games", I guess this doesn't apply to you).

Yes, as long as you use Hourglass9 (it's the "you can't fuck it up" tool) or make sure to use Decrypt9's keep a9lh option when restoring. If you do that, you can test out any NAND backup without breaking anything.

N3DS running cakes. Ok so I got monster hunter generations from 3dsiso. When I boot the game up it idles on the 3DS logo while the red rectangles pulse out. I have tried about 3 different downloads and tried using fbi, and menu but nothing works. The japan version ran fine and yes I did delete the patches for the japan version.
So, long story short /hbg/, knocked over my 2ds thats running rxtools (Tried installing luma like it showed in the gif but it didn't do anything) but now when I try to launch emumnand it's constant black screens and shit

Someone can feel free to correct me, but I doubt Luma even works on 6.0 sysNAND. For everyone on 9.2, it really is as simple as "drag and drop."
My honest advice is to use Plailect's "update to 9.2" section so you can at least use a proper CFW, but if it was working just fine before the drop, you probably want to check and make sure your SD card is still good. If you have a spare card, you can set up an emuNAND partition on it and see if it'll boot. If it still won't boot on a new card, then your card reader may be damaged.

One of us has a fundamental misunderstanding of how CFW loads. It's my understanding that CFW uses the entrypoint in sysNAND to launch emuNAND. You can't launch a CFW from emuNAND, because that's what it does... launches emuNAND.

I just finished downgrading my RedNAND to 2.1 on Part 4 Section 4 Step 10.
How do I make sure that the 2.1 downgrade was successful? I looked through the entire downgrade progress and everything came out as green but is that good enough? Can I take some sort of precautions before I move on to the One Click Setup?

Some games don't show up though so downloading the cia through the PC is a last resort.

The one you access through the homebrew launcher is the rednand/emunand. The one the console normally boots into is the sysnand. If you did shit correctly then going to system settings should show EMU before the version number in rednand/emunand

Weird thing is, it only shows those lines on games or sequences where I can use 3d, pokemon overworld for example looks perfectly fine, but once a battle starts, be it with 3d turned on or off, it shows those lines.

Sysnand is the actual firmware your shit is running. Rednand is the thing that's on the sd card. If you followed the guide your 3ds will boot normally into sysnand if you simply turn on the power.

Black screen usually means the cia didn't install properly.
Possible problems:
CIA is corrupted - you could use CIAngel or freeshop to download it directly to your 3ds. It takes a good amount of time though.
Some old versions of FBI won't work with games over 1gb so update it if you haven't.
