The moveset isn't great, but if your weapon sucks at killing small stuff and you don't want to swap it works.

So I transferred my save alright from MHX to MHG and prior to transferring it I tried to fix my name with the save editor as originally I had used the Japanese keyboard to input my name. It seemed to fix it at first, but my name reverted back to what it was originally after booting up the save in MHG.
