It would be up to the court to decide if it was just, and most likely it wouldn't be. Presumably if you were caught stealing food for survival you would be set up in a work program to get you out of that situation, and if you were caught stealing again the punishment would be more harsh.

the latest version of WSE allows you to have a offhand weapon that has blocks disabled, so you don't have weird situations where you can block arrows or have omni-directional blocking with a parrying dagger
so even with an offhand weapon you still block with your primary weapon

This is not counting the skill points you get at character creation
Theres enough points as long as you make sure you take good starting options
Im not really sure maxing engineering is worth it though, with that you may be better off just getting it to 5, but then i dont know, ive never maxed engineering.
You also want some first aid, but the starts that give you good int skills tend to give you a decent amount of that.

I play on a laptop that's worse than your specs and play with 150 battles fine, only get lag in VC with 500 battles. It's a i5 3230M at 2.6Ghz. Old as fuck.
Now I know what your problem is, your problem is CPU. Toning down graphics isn't going to fix that, your GPU is more than enough for Warband.
I had that CPU a long ass time ago, used to overheat like a bitch when I ran anything. AMD lost the performance war and yes it has 6 cores but Warband only uses one, if it uses any more than that, and single thread performance for AMD shit is abysmal.
When you get a lot of battles, you get a lot of actors deciding what to do. That's heavy CPU work for pathfinding and decision making.
The solution is, don't buy AMD. Buy a decent Intel CPU. I fucking hate how expensive Intel shit is but when you need to deal with CPU-intensive games, it's the best you can get.

The other possibility being that's your HD. You are doing SCSI and honestly I didn't see anyone do that in a fucking lifetime, IIRC is only usefulw hen you are running backup HDs. But your biggest HD is a USB HD, assuming it's external. USB speed doesn't even come close to a SATA speed, so if you are running the game off the USB HD that might also be the problem.

your cpu is the bottleneck this case, it's mostly because of poorly written code in the default battle mission though
i think there are some fixes for it out there to make it run more smoothly

i hope bannerlord only has a few companions. Like, 6. Yes. Six only and some are mutually exclusive. One is the sturdy fighter companion, you get him right off the bat from the tutorial. Next you get a siege and tactics smart man who can also help manage your fifes. Then you get a choice between two doctors, a priest and some sort of heretic blood magic edgy guy. You can pick only one of the two. Finally awaifuand awaifu(male). These are level 1 and you can mold them however you want. You can pick both of them but they fight and eventuallyone tries to kill you
