Here's a simple method for NA players to import the EU data needed to get their MHGen bonuses.

Place the 'filer' folder on your root. Install SaveDataFiler.cia and open it. Go to the SD tab and press A to import this ext save data (00001261). Note this shouldn't affect your other data because the US game is 00001263.
Even if you already started your save file, go under New Game and run through the Claim Extras menu. It should say the MH4U data read was successful. Then just speak to your housekeeper to claim your bonus. No need to install EUR 4U.

It's very comparable to the New 3DS performance. Both are hard locked at 30 fps, which the O3DS does provide consistently. Just that O3DS occasionaly clumps frames together. Overall nowhere near the difference it made in 4U.

I believe MonHun DLC is all hosted on Capcom servers and doesn't depend on eShop for anything. If I'm wrong, transferring your save should be no problem. I confirmed 4U's save was compatible EU to NA using JK's SaveManager.

I tried everything but for some reason the DLC won't show up when I try to install it. Ganondorf's Wind Waker robes, the classic Link costume, Linkle's boots weapon, and Marin won't show up at all. I'm using bigbluemenu to install the DLC. what am I doing wrong?

Hey guys. I downloaded the MHG leak from the original 3dsISO post, converted to .cia myself, and played for a few hours before bed.
I popped back into the thread and noticed someone saying the guy had not stripped the header from the copy before uploading it. I've been pirating 3DS games since that was a thing, but I've never been involved in the dumping/converting/etc process, is this something I need to worry about? Some people suggested that the original uploader had fucked himself over, but I'm not sure the actual implications of this. Will he get banned his 3DS banned? Will *I* if I use this version? Will I be able to use this copy online without issue? Or do I need to uninstall and download a new copy with the header stripped?
Also as an aside, I receive an error attempting to open the DLC menu. Is this related, or just because the game isn't released yet? Haven't tried actually connecting to an online lobby or anything.

I'm not 100% but from what I understand headers are pretty much just used by .3ds files since each cart needs its own header to be a unique user online, as the guy uploaded without stripping the header he has no doubt screwed himself and people will end up getting banned.
.CIA files don't use that header, I believe they use your system as an identifier so you will always be running a unique version in the eyes of Nintendo, should be fine to play online.
I don't know anything about the DLC Menu, not even booted it up yet.

Dump the 3ds and luma folders onto your SD card, and Luma3DS.dat.
Then I think you need to replace the boot.3dsx in the root of your SD card with the boot.3dsx in the menuhax folder. Back it up in case that doesn't work.

No they weren't. You just download the DLC from the main menu of the game and that's it. I downloaded MHX's DLC on my PAL console normally without any issues

Some games save in cartridge only to prevent save tampering. Nintendo doesn't want kids to hack, dupe, and trade Pokemon online.

I'm at part 1 (Homebrew) and when I get to

All I get is a black screen. Troubleshooting page doesn't tell anything about what to do if I get a blackscreen after running menuhax_manager (unless "Black screen on RedNAND boot" is the one I need to look at but it says something about Luma which I haven't run into yet)

I haven't turned on my Old 3DS in awhile and I think I forgot my menuhax trigger combination. Is there a way to reset it or get into emunand without it? My Sysnand is on 9.2 and I don't think the entry points work anymore, not sure.

Yeah I noticed when I saw the text on the top screen but 11 said "It may show errors but that's fine as long as it shwos "Success" towards the end.
I didn't see a big solid "SUCCESS" at the end but there were text saying "Installation was successful" or something along that lines.

Once you downgrade you can use browserhax instead.
How do I download demos and dlc's with a9lh? I don't think I'll find demos and dlc's .cia on the internet.
Also, if I want to backup just the saves from my sd to my computer, what folder do I copy over?

Okay, so even though everything's gone perfectly so far I got the black screen. I did what it suggested with the SD card and it boots then. But what now? Whenever I reboot it with the SD in it just stays on a black screen forever. Am I doomed to have to keep on booting without the SD in?
