Then you should go for ARDENT CENSOR, this item gives a buff to anyone you shield and also boosts your shields by 15%
After that you can build whatever the fuck you want, AP, Tanky, more support items. The game is already won anyway.

Honestly all he had to do was keep autoing Olaf and they both would have died but Darius would have had TP(I'm assuming he took tp).
His mistake was trying to run away when he had minion advantage + passive. Going 1 for 1 against someone with ignite when you have tp is absolutely worth it.

I find using a void staff does more damage than liandry's. Have you considered Eye of the Watches over FQC? Although spooky ghosts is great the eye is the same price, gives HP, and has 10% CDR on it just as the dagger does. With the wards you'll be able to avoid using the dagger in the first place. And I the mana regen is better, too. I assume you're running 10% CDR blues?

this might sound stupid, but spell thief, hit counter is good to scout bushes. and W in a bush will tell you if you hit something or not. I do fine with 1 pink on the secondary entrance and yellow ward on river.

I find running 10% CDR/level blues and buying Sorc's Shoes puts my damage over the top for Vel'koz, since his ratios aren't exactly stellar. Combine that with mag pen reds and the shoes, plus the bonus, you pretty much knock out any possible MR they could buy easily. Then your secondary mag pen item could be used against tanks. I think v'k just benefits more from mag pen than AP in most cases.
Eye of the Watchers is the other component to the Frostfang. It'll let you scout the bushes the same. Plus, being able to ward top would be a huge benefit to the game.
