I'm sure you know about AIDA stealing $20,000USD and Cyberkitsune's plan to inject a rootkit into the tweaker to spy on potential enemies. But that's only the half of it. Massive Hunter might be worth it if you can stay above 300 HP during Limit Break and have good resists from units Austere/uncrafted Saiki(but why?). It should let you survive even some of the stronger attacks.

There's always a penalty for upslotting. When the percent chance hits 100, it stop at 100. Even if logically there should be, say, a 110% chance, when the penalty is applied, it's applied to 100%.

Surely that'd make Aura the better choice, though? Katana is already fantastic for mobbing, wouldn't an anti-boss damage bonus make using it for bossing slightly more tolerable? Is the general extra damage bonus from Ray not wasted on most mobs?

Unless your katana is already killing all mobs in one PA, no. There are mobs other than trash mobs.
