Wouldn't the last final fantasy game ever to be made be called 'The Final Fantasy'? I wanna play that. I hope it would tie off all loose ends through out the series. I would also hope it ends with a zoom out of a journal written by us players.

Tell your friendprobably. I set the naiads up as a kinda dumb endgame challenge since my friends are very competitive and they'd probably find a way. I only know of one who encountered it though.
I'm not sure I can say it's pulling its punches during the available missions, but I sure hope I can make the endgame kick up encounter variety a notch since the available items plateau after mission 15.
