There is a point to increasing resolution for every game, as long as you keep a decent stable framerate.
It's not going to do anything for standard textures, but it's the nicest form of antialiasing, since it doesn't "guess". Also any vector images and vector-based effects improve indefinitely with resolution. I can't tell if they use these, it's usually lighting, shadows, energy beams, fog, etc.

Only two (maybe three, I forget) characters passively have Learning. Uzume and S-Sha both have it. But since the game is mixing up your available characters all the time it is only a problem in the true ending. But you can just use the characters you want to the post game, pound out learning discs for the rest of the characters and grind out the giant metal dogoo and everyone will be 99 in no time flat.

Absolutely recommend getting Million Arthur, God Eater and Nitroplus character DLCs as they get additional side dialogue.
Development/Plans are garbage, don't bother touching it as it's a waste of time until after your first playthrough.
Don't bother with hidden treasures either until after your first playthrough.
Elemental damage is disgusting, abuse it however you wish.
Public relations is the only thing worth investing into until you have essentially unlimited credits.

The weapon packs are overpriced as hell but if you intend to do level cap broken Colosseum battles you'll want them. Plus some of them give bonus EXP.
