It was stated earlier for positives and negatives.

The english patch was the pure opposite effect, it introduced players who couldn't read Japanese to try and have a good time. That's probably the reason why english patch users haven't experienced "the great purge" yet. Its helping sega collect strong foreigner dollars.

I don't blame them. You only have three DPS checks, two of which is counterable if your MPA fucks up and another that is entirely avoidable if everyone burn down the boss. I don't even remember hearing anything about bad finished times and destroyed towers affecting the drop chance of a 13* for PD and TD4.
As long as everyone is decently geared and know how to play you don't need to worry about other player's damage.

Talis is better than rod for everything except compound, so still consider getting a rod for that. Talis fast throw is also an active skill, so you might want to practice with it.
Drop some points from TE tatk or wind or those 2 fucking points in Shifta advance (it's worthless past 1 point for FO/TE) and get convert to 6/10. 4 is some weird number that isn't much different from 3 since they both give +2pp regen.

You have to realize that the current FO meta is spamming compound. Note that talis compound isn't bad esp with higher atk talises, but you'd still do more damage with a rod of the same tier due to higher tatk.
Dark: crafted megid is awesome. Gimegid is fastest dps, but mostly for stationary things.
Light: ragrants for everything. Just zondeel them since you're using talis anyway.
Lightning - skyhigh talis razonde is your bread and butter. It does fucking everything (except bossing lol, fuck lightning bossing). Otherwise rod/unthrown zonde type 0 or regular zonde. Charged sazonde and maybe nazonde.
Ice: IT'S SHIT LOL get it only for barants boost. Or ilbarta but that got nerfed on PD too.
Fire: Gifoie for everything since it stacks and boosts compound gauge a lot. Rafoie for cleaning up and infinite range.
Wind: LOL. memes aside, throw -> jump -> zan spam is called zan dance, and there's still sazan/nazan which are alright. Ilzan is "zondeel except in a line", basically it sucks everything into a line from the tech's origin point.
Just spam anything that lets you fill compound, then abuse compound. This is why gifoie and ragrants are pretty good in the current meta; They're generally pp-cheap for filling compound fast compared to most of everything else, especially if you zondeel.

You can actually buy attack receptors in the player shop. And no, even if you couldn't, getting +5 attack slightly easier is not 'pay to win', though it is kinda silly that sg scratch is the only source.

I always thought the phrase was more applicable towards games that enable player versus player systems. Pso2 though is a game where everyone has to work in cooperation for their goal to be met.
The possibility of failure is low and occasionally impossible with eqs. Many items to increase damage can still be bought from visiphone except in certain conditions, but even then the increase would not be of a terrible margin.
